New Year's Eve under the Northern Lights in Lapland

DAY 1 (27/12/2025): Saariselka
Arrival in Lapland and transfer to the hotel for accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
Saariselka, located in the far north of Finland, is more than just a stop on an itinerary; it's a gateway to an Arctic world. The local Sami culture adds an authentic touch to the region, as it is evident in daily life DAY
2 (28/12/2025): saariselka
After breakfast at the hotel, a walk of about 2 hours with snowshoes through the northern woods. Opportunity to explore the white desert in the vicinity of the forest and hills of Urho Kekkonen National Park, just outside Saariselka.
Return to the hotel and free afternoon for independent activities.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Observation of the Northern Lights on a snowmobile sleigh. Includes: thermal clothing, hot drink and guide in English.
DAY 3 (29/12/2025): Saariselka - ARCTIC CIRCLE (SANTA CLAUS IGLOU) Breakfast and check-out at the hotel.
Visit a Sami reindeer farm to learn about the Sami culture, hear their explanations about reindeer and the importance for local agriculture. Then a short reindeer sleigh ride.
Stop for a typical three-course lunch (without drinks) at the farm.
Continuation of the trip to the Santa's Igloo hotel, also known as Santa Claus's Igloo. Accommodation for 1 night, with half board (without drinks).
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Aurora Borealis hunt on a snowmobile. Driving a snowmobile through the snow-covered forest and the frozen river under the Northern Lights (subject to weather conditions). Enjoy hot drinks and snacks by the campfire while learning more about this natural phenomenon. (This activity requires pre-booking in advance - an international driver's license is required to drive the snowmobile).
DAY 4 (30/12/2025): ARCTIC CIRCLE (SANTA CLAUS IGLOU) - ROVANIEMI - SANTA CLAUS VILLAGE - ROVANIEMI
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, travel to Rovaniemi, the capital of Finnish Lapland, on a route of approximately 10 km. Arrival and accommodation for 3 nights, with half board (excluding drinks).
Visit a Husky farm for a dog sled ride and learn about the life and training of these Arctic animals.
Then, visit the world-famous Santa Claus Village, built on the Arctic Circle. Free time to tour the village, with a visit to Santa Claus's famous post office.
Return to the hotel in Rovaniemi.
DAY 5 (31/12/2025): ROVANIEMI
Breakfast and afternoon free for independent activities.
In the evening, special New Year's Eve dinner - includes an appetizer and a selected drink.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Celebrate the turn of the year at a mystical party, with shamans, giant snow disco, snow bars, fireworks display, dance show, and more. (Pre-booking required)
DAY 6 (01/01/2026): ROVANIEMI - KEMI - ROVANIEMI
After breakfast at the hotel, full day tour to the city of Kemi, with a visit to the Snow Castle (subject to weather conditions).
Lunch stop at a local restaurant (no drinks).
Then, board the Sampo Icebreaker ship with a visit to its enormous engine room, communications room, and bridge. Opportunity to float in the sea with a specially made survival suit, with the right to receive a certificate from the ship's authorities to attest to your courage.
Return to the hotel in Rovaniemi.
DAY 7 (02/01/2025): Rovaniemi
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Transfer to the airport.

- Accommodation for 3 nights in Rovaniemi, with half board;
