Christmas markets: from Helsinki to Riga

Day 1: HELSINKI
Arrival in Helsinki, meeting with the local representative and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.

Helsinki, the capital of Finland, enchants with its mix of elegant architecture, vibrant cultural life and strong connection with nature. On the shores of the Baltic, it offers an authentic and welcoming Nordic lifestyle.

Free time to rest and enjoy the magic of Christmas at one of the oldest Christmas markets in the Finnish capital.


Day 2: HELSINKI/ROVANIEMI
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, private walking tour with a guide in Portuguese or Spanish (subject to availability and confirmation) around the city.

Visit the Senate Square, the Government Palace, the University and the Helsinki Cathedral.

Continue to Sibelius Park, with the monument dedicated to Sibelius - a famous Finnish composer, the Olympic Stadium and the Mannerheimintie, where you can find the city's main monuments, such as the Opera, the National Museum and the Museum of Contemporary Art.

Finally, visit the famous “Design District”, a neighborhood close to the Helsinki Design Museum, which houses a series of designer boutiques, elegant second-hand stores, and art galleries.

At the end of the tour, private transfer to the airport to board a flight to Rovaniemi (not included). Arrival and private transfer to the hotel for accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.


Day 3: ROVANIEMI
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit a Husky farm for a sleigh ride pulled by the pack of Huskies, in addition to learning about the life and training of these arctic animals while enjoying a hot drink.

Free time for lunch (not included) and independent activities.

At night, weather permitting, observation of the Northern Lights.


Day 4: ROVANIEMI
After breakfast at the hotel, visit a Sami reindeer farm to learn about the herding of these incredible animals, with the opportunity to take a short reindeer sleigh ride.

Return to Rovaniemi and free time for independent activities.

At night, an opportunity to float on the ice, with a suit made specifically for this purpose, to observe the Northern Lights (subject to weather conditions).


Day 5: ROVANIEMI/TALLINN
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private airport transfer for boarding a flight to Tallinn (not included).

Arrival and transfer to the hotel for accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.


Day 6: TALLINN
After breakfast at the hotel, private half-day city tour, with Hanseatic influences. Visit “Kiek In Da Koek”, one of the most impressive defensive towers in the Baltic Sea, the 18th century St. Nicholas Church, the Lutheran Cathedral (Tuomiokirkko), an example of late Gothic, and the Alexander Nevsky Orthodox Cathedral.

Continue to the lower part of the city, where you will find the City Hall, the oldest Gothic civil building in Northern Europe and one of the most beautiful pharmacies in Europe - open since 1422.

Free afternoon for independent activities.

Optional activity suggestion (not included):

• Visit the Tallinn Christmas Market, where illuminated wooden houses, local crafts, typical foods and a large Christmas tree create a magical setting in the heart of the medieval city.

Day 7: TALLINN - RIGA
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Departure to Riga, the largest of the three Baltic capitals, on a journey of about 4 hours.

Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.


Day 8: Riga
Breakfast at the hotel and panoramic tour of the city known as the “Paris of the North”. Walk to the historic center of Riga, to observe old mansions and small “Guilds”, the house of the three brothers, the Powder Tower, the Church of Saint John, the Church of Saint Peter and the Swedish Gate.

Then, stop by the Casa dos Cabeças Negras - a residence for foreign merchants built in the 14th century and one of the most beautiful buildings in the city - and visit the Cathedral of Dom, located in front of the homonymous square.

Finally, visit the Riga Central Market, the largest market in the Baltic States and one of the largest in Europe.

Free afternoon to enjoy the beauty of the city and to visit its famous Christmas markets.

Optional activity suggestion (not included):

• In the evening, watch the ballet or opera at the famous Riga National Opera.

Day 9: RIGA
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private airport transfer.
