Tromso and the Arctic Adventures

Explore the enchanting Nordic capitals on this 10-day itinerary through Norway and Finland.
DAY 1: Tromso
Arrival in Tromso and regular shuttle bus transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 2: Tromso
After breakfast at the hotel, a panoramic tour of about 2 hours around the city. Passage through Lake Prestvatn, where the Meteorological Institute is located, and the Arctic Cathedral, built in 1965, reflects the nature, culture, and faith of Northern Norway, especially its stained glass window.
Return to the hotel and free afternoon for independent activities.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Culinary experience with king crab, known to be one of the largest and most delicious crab species;
- Cable car ride to enjoy panoramic views of the city.
DAY 3: Tromso -
Breakfast included and check-out at the hotel. Regular shuttle of about 8 hours to the city of Alta, in northern Norway. Along the way, stop for lunch (without drinks).
Arrival in Alta and free afternoon for independent activities. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Sleigh ride with horses under the lights of the Northern Lights - includes a three-course dinner around the campfire.
DAY 4:
Breakfast at the hotel and visit to the Alta Museum, considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site. It features exhibitions about local culture and historic industries.
Return to the hotel and free afternoon for independent activities.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Visit to a husky farm with safari and lunch;
- Visit to the Sorrisniva ice hotel, with an alcoholic drink included.
DAY 5: discharge - KARASJOK - SAARISELKA or levi
For departures on 05/01; 11/01 and 05/03/2026: Breakfast and check-out at the hotel.
Regular shuttle to Saariselka with a stop in Karasjok for a brief visit to the Sami Museum. Founded in 1972 as the first Sami cultural institution in Norway, it has a collection of about 5 thousand pieces and is considered the most important in the country regarding the history and culture of the Sami people.
After the visit, free time for lunch (not included) and continue to Saariselka. Accommodation for 2 nights, with half board (without drinks).
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Observation of the Aurora Borealis on a heated sled.
For departures on 20/02 and 13/03/2026:
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Regular shuttle to Levi stopping in Kautokeino for a brief visit to Juhls' Silvergallery AS. The Juhls family expresses itself through various forms of art and crafts, the main of which is goldsmithery. Here, you can see a selection of her jewels - each piece is still entirely handmade in the studio itself.
After free time for lunch (not included) and continuation to Levi. Accommodation for 2 nights, with half board (without drinks).
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Observation of the Aurora Borealis on a heated sled.
DAY 6: SAARISELKA or brought
breakfast at the hotel and day off to enjoy the following activities: Optional activities:
- Learn about reindeer and the rich local culture of Lapland from an experienced reindeer breeder. Opportunity to ride a reindeer sleigh.
- Night snowshoe tour for hiking through the Northern Woods.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Snowmobile safari, with hot drinks and appetizers.
DAY 7: SAARISELKA or levi - haparanda
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, regular transfer to Haparanda, a city located on the border between Finland and Sweden.
Arrival and accommodation for 1 night, with half board (excluding drinks).
DAY 8: HAPARANDA - Kemi - Rovaniemi
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Regular shuttle to Rovaniemi with a stop in Kemi en route.
Board the Sampo icebreaker ship with a visit to its engine room, communication room, and bridge. Opportunity to float in the sea with a suit made specifically for this purpose.
Arrival in Rovaniemi and accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
Note: The floating experience on ice requires a minimum height of 130 cm.
DAY 9: ROVANIEMI - Santa Claus village - rovaniemi
After breakfast at the hotel, visit a Husky farm for a sleigh ride pulled by the Huskies pack, in addition to learning about the life and training of these Arctic animals.
Then, visit the world-famous Santa Claus Village, built on the Arctic Circle.
Free time to visit Santa Claus's village to enjoy the magical atmosphere of Christmas, in addition to the possibility of meeting the “good old man” in person.
Return to the hotel in Rovaniemi and free afternoon for independent activities.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Aurora Borealis hunt on a snowmobile. Driving a snowmobile through the snow-covered forest and the frozen river under the Aurora Borealis (subject to weather conditions). Enjoy hot drinks and snacks by the campfire while learning more about this natural phenomenon. (This activity requires pre-booking in advance; an international driver's license is required to drive the snowmobile).
DAY 10: ROVANIEMI
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Transfer to the airport.
