Day 1 (28/12/2025): Edinburgh
Arrival in Edinburgh, reception by the local representative and private transfer to the Virgin Hotels Edinburgh hotel. Accommodation for 5 nights, with breakfast.
Located in the iconic India Buildings, in the heart of the Old Town, the hotel is just a short walk from the iconic Edinburgh Castle, providing guests with easy access to the city's main attractions. Combining sophisticated Victorian design with modern touches, the hotel offers a diverse dining experience, with options ranging from pubs to upscale restaurants. Modern gym and high speed Wi-Fi complete the structure.
In the evening, watch the “Castle of Light” show, a must-see light show with immersive displays, interactive installations, music and entertainment at the iconic Edinburgh Castle.

Day 2 (29/12/2025): Edinburgh
After breakfast at the hotel, meet the guide for a private half-day tour of the city.
Pass through “Old Town”, the historic center of the city where every corner reveals a piece of the rich Scottish heritage, and the Royal Mile, a picturesque medieval street that connects the city's two main attractions: Edinburgh Castle and Holyrood Palace.
Continue through the “new city” where you can find beautiful squares, gardens and elegant Georgian-style buildings.
Free afternoon for independent activities.
Day 3 (30/12/2025): EDINBURGH - STIRLING - EDINBURGH
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to the city of Stirling, the heart of the Scottish nation and the scene of the famous battle of Stirling Bridge in 1297, with the opportunity to visit its Castle.
Continue through the stunning Trossachs National Park and the Deanston Distillery, with whiskey tasting at the end of the visit.
At the end of the tour, return to the hotel in Edinburgh.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- In the evening, take part in the Torchlight Procession to celebrate Hogmanay (the name given to the last day of the year by the Scots). The Torchlight Procession is a dazzling procession that winds through the historic city center. The event closes with a fireworks show.
Day 4 (31/12/2025): EDINBURGH
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
In the evening, celebrate Hogmanay with a fireworks show at Edinburgh Castle. Whether at the Street Party, the Ceilidh Under the Castle or the Concert in the Gardens, your fun is guaranteed with lots of entertainment, music and dancing in the best Scottish style.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Visit the Port of Leith to discover the former royal yacht that served the British Royal Family for over 40 years, the Royal Yatch Britannia.
- Stroll around “The Shore”, an oceanfront area that offers a lively atmosphere with excellent restaurant, bar, and cafe options.
- Walk along the famous Leith Walk.
Day 5 (01/01/2026): EDINBURGH
Breakfast and free day for independent activities.
On the first day of the year, the Scots come together for the last Hogmanay festival, known as the Loony Dook, a tradition celebrated over 30 years ago. The event takes place in the village of South Queensferry, just outside Edinburgh. The festival begins with a costume parade, where participants show off their colorful and creative garments, and where the most daring venture to swim in the icy waters of the River Forth.
Day 6 (02/01/2026): EDINBURGH
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private airport transfer.
