DAY 1: SAN JOSÉ - LA FORTUNA
In San José, private transfer of about 3 hours to La Fortuna. Accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.
Nayara Gardens is located in the Costa Rican rainforest, at the foot of the Arenal Volcano. It combines attentive hospitality, high standard services, and is the starting point for exploring the Arenal Volcano National Park, with trails, suspension bridges, zip lines, wildlife observation and guided tours.
The Arenal Pool Casita and Rainforest Pool Villa accommodation categories offer privacy and modern conveniences, such as a minibar, espresso machine, Wi-Fi and marble bathrooms. The Spa features pavilions facing the valley, jacuzzi and outdoor showers, with protocols that use organic coffee, volcanic mud and chocolate clay.
The experience includes daily yoga, pool and on-site restaurants: La Terraza del Arenal, Asia Luna, Nostalgia Wine Bar, and La Piscina Bar, with varied cuisine ranging from local cuisine to Asian fusion.
DAY 2 to 4: LA FORTUNA Free
days for independent activities.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Regular tour that combines coffee and chocolate, covering global history, the role of Costa Rica, socioeconomic impact, culture and traditions, with a demonstration of the grain/cocoa processes by the cup/bar.
- Guided walk through the forest canopies in Arenal, covering trails, 10 fixed bridges and 6 suspension bridges, with the observation of fauna and flora with a naturalist guide. It includes viewpoints with views of the Arenal Volcano and a stop to contemplate a waterfall of about 18 meters deep inside the forest.
- Guided walk through the ancient lava fields of the Arenal Volcano, with introduction to the history of La Fortuna and the impacts of the 1968 eruption.
- Regular ride that combines Sky Tram (gondola) through the forest canopy to viewpoints with views of the Arenal Volcano and Lake Arenal, with the possibility of observing birds, sloths, butterflies and reptiles.
DAY 5: La Fortuna
After breakfast and check-out, private transfer to San José airport.
