Ibicoara, Mucugê, Lençóis
Chapada Diamantina Especial: an itinerary to explore waterfalls, trails, caves and natural landscapes in one of Brazil's most emblematic regions.
DAY 1: VITÓRIA DA CONQUISTA - IBICOARA
Arrival and reception at Vitória da Conquista airport. Private transfer to Ibicoara (approximately 3 hours and 30 minutes). Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 2: IBICOARA - MUCUGê
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Then, exit towards Cachoeira do Buracão (approximately 30 minutes), located at the bottom of a canyon and with an 85-meter-high waterfall.
On site, a 6 km walk along trails that pass through wells and canyons to the base of the waterfall. Free time for a picnic on the banks of the waterfall.
Finally, private transfer to Mucugê (approximately 2 hours). Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 3 : MUCUGê
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the UVVA Winery, which offers several wine experiences (not included).
Suggested experiences (not included):
- UVVA experience: Guided tour of the winery by a winemaker, with tasting of 4 selected wines.
Then, a private tour of the main points of Vila de Igatu, with a visit to some ruins from the mining period and the Art Memory Museum Gallery, installed amidst the ruins of old stone houses. The museum includes prospectors from the 1930s to the 1950s, as well as photos, installations and a garden with sculptures by contemporary artists made of fiberglass, metal, soapstone and ceramics.
Free time for lunch at a local restaurant and return to Mucugê.
DAY 4: MUCUGê - LENÇÓIS
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Visit to Poço Encantado, an impressive natural underground pool with crystal clear turquoise waters, more than 60 meters deep.
Then, visit the Blue Well, located in a cave. The lake with transparent waters takes on different shades depending on the incidence of the sun, providing a unique setting. There are opportunities for diving and floating on site.
Free time for lunch at a local restaurant and private transfer to Lençóis. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 5: MUCUGê
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Fazenda Mosquito to visit Cachoeira do Mosquito, which is approximately 60 meters high and received this name due to the presence of small diamonds, called “mosquitoes” in the region.
Free time for lunch at a local restaurant.
Then, private transfer to Morro do Pai Inácio for a 1.2 km hike to the top, from where there is a panoramic view of Chapada Diamantina.
Pai Inácio Hill is one of the region's best-known postcards and offers impressive views of the flat hills that make up the local landscape.
Return to the hotel in Lençóis.
DAY 6: LENÇÓIS
Breakfast at the hotel and visit to the Mucugezinho River Waterfalls and the Devil's Well, a well with dark and icy waters, surrounded by stone walls and canyons, with a waterfall approximately 20 meters high.
Stop for lunch (not included) at the Lila Orquidário restaurant.
Then, visit the Lapa Doce Cave, part of one of the most important cave systems in the region. On the way back to Lençóis, stop at Casa Mirante to end the day with a special weekend.
DAY 7 : SHEETS
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, tour the Muritiba Municipal Park, where you can find the Caldeirões do Serrano, the Hall of Colored Sands, the Spring Waterfall and Cachoeirinha.
Free time for lunch (not included) in the city of Lençóis.
Finally, private transfer to Lençóis airport.
