DAY 1: THIMPHU
Arrival at the airport and private transfer to the hotel for check-in. Accommodation for 2 nights, with full board.
Thimphu tour with a visit to the Textile Museum and the Weaving Center, to learn about the art of Bhutanese weaving, the statue of the Dordenma Buddha, which is 52 meters high, and the Chorten Memorial, dedicated to world peace.
Depending on the time of arrival, visit the Institute of Traditional Medicine, the National Institute of 13 Arts and Crafts, to learn about Bhutan's numerous art forms, the Folk Heritage Museum and the Simply Bhutan Museum, to learn a little about the culture and daily life of the Bhutanese.
DAY 2: THIMPHU
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Pangri Zampa Monastery, built in the 16th century and which currently houses a monastic school of astrologers.
Return to Thimphu to learn about its local industries, from traditional paper manufacturing to artisanal incense production. On weekends, you can also visit the Craft Bazaar or the vegetable markets.
After lunch, drive to the north end of the valley to visit the Tashi Chhoe Dzong, the center of government and royal offices of Bhutan.
At dusk, tour the Takin animal sanctuary for a beautiful view over the Thimphu Valley.
DAY 3: THIMPHU - PUNAKHA
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. It takes about 2 hours to Punakha, with stops along the way that include one of Bhutan's first monasteries-fortresses, Simthoka Dzong, and the ancient wall paintings of the Hongtsho Goemba Monastery.
After stopping for a picnic-style lunch, continue the journey to Punakha and the possibility of visiting the fertility monastery, Chimi Lhakhang, on the way, where many couples come to pray for their pregnancy and receive a blessing.
Arrival in Punakha and check-in for accommodation for 2 nights, with full board.
DAY 4: PUNAKHA
Breakfast at the hotel. Trek to Khamsum Yulley Namgyal Chorten, an important Buddhist religious monument. Following the trail, you can visit Punakha, which houses the remains of Bhutan's first ruler and the winter residence of the leader of the monastic order and his group of monks.
In the afternoon, free time to enjoy archery activities, Bhutan's national sport, at the hotel.
DAY 5: PUNAKHA - PARO
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, a trip of about 3 hours to Paro. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
Upon arrival, traditional lunch at a local farm, prepared by a family that used to cook for the Bhutanese royal family. After lunch, tour the valley to visit Kyichu Lhakhang, one of the first Buddhist temples built in the country, an opportunity to learn about the ancient Buddhist traditions that are still practiced today.
DAY 6: PARO
Breakfast at the hotel. Visit to Paro's Rinpung Dzong Monastery and the National Museum of Bhutan.
On the way back to the lodge, you can stop in Paro to explore the city on your own.
DAY 7: PARO
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Tiger's Nest, Taktsang Goemba, one of the most dramatic monuments in Bhutan. The monastery was built on a rock face 900 m above the valley floor. Therefore, it offers impressive views.
On the way back to the lodge, you can stop in Paro to explore the city on your own.
DAY 8: PARO
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to Paro airport.
