A journey through the historic heart of Minas Gerais, where art, culture and tradition are revealed in settings that elegantly preserve centuries of history.
Day 1: Belo Horizonte - Congonhas - Tirandentes
Arrival at Belo Horizonte International Airport - Confins, reception and start of the private transfer. Trip to the city of Congonhas, one of the main landmarks of the Minas Gerais baroque. Visit to the Sanctuary of Bom Jesus in Matosinhos, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, where you can find the iconic soapstone sculptures of the Prophets, sculpted by Aleijadinho, in addition to the chapels that represent the Via Sacra.
Lunch included at a local restaurant along the way. After the visit, continue the trip to Tiradentes, one of the most charming cities in Minas Gerais.
Arrival, accommodation for 1 night with breakfast. Rest of the day free for a first contact with the historic and welcoming atmosphere of the destination.
2nd day: Tiradentes - São João del Rei - Ouro Preto
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Departure to visit the historic city of São João del Rei, known as the “city of bells”, with an important architectural and religious collection. During the tour, highlight churches and colonial buildings that reflect the region's cultural and historical richness.
Return to Tiradentes for continued visits, exploring its main attractions, such as the Matriz de Santo Antônio, the São José Fountain and the charming stone streets that preserve the colonial style.
Lunch included at a local restaurant along the way. After the visits, private transfer to Ouro Preto, one of the most important historical heritage sites in Brazil. Arrival, accommodation for 2 nights with breakfast. Rest of the day free.
Day 3: Ouro Preto
Breakfast at the hotel. Soon after, departure for a private tour of the city of Ouro Preto, the first Brazilian city recognized as a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
During the tour, visit the main historical and cultural attractions, especially the Church of Our Lady of the Pillar, known for housing one of the most richly decorated interiors in gold in Brazil, and the Church of São Francisco de Assis, considered one of Aleijadinho's masterpieces.
Lunch stop included at a local restaurant.
The itinerary also includes the Casa dos Contos and other important points that help to understand the history of the gold cycle and the relevance of Minas Gerais in the formation of Brazil.
Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is free.
Day 4: Ouro Preto - Mariana - Belo Horizonte
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Departure for a private tour to the historic city of Mariana, one of the oldest in Minas Gerais and an important landmark of the Brazilian colonial period.
During the tour, visit the charming Minas Gerais Square and the Cathedral Basilica of the Cathedral, as well as a walk through the historic streets that preserve the architecture and atmosphere of the time.
Then, visit the Passagem Mine, one of the largest gold mines open to visitors in the world, providing an immersive experience that allows us to understand, in a practical way, the history of gold mining in the region.
Lunch at a local restaurant included along the route. At an appropriate time, transfer to Belo Horizonte International Airport — Confins.
