Tunis

A special 5-day itinerary to visit Tunisia's historic and archaeological sites.

DAY 1: TUNIS
Arrival in Tunis and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.

The laid-back capital of Tunisia has two distinct personalities. The new city, created by French colonists in the 19th century, is tidy, with wrought-iron balconies, cafés and pastry shops lining palm-lined avenues. Passing through Port de France, you leave the European side behind, entering the labyrinth of the Medina, filled with old palaces and antique dealers.

DAY 2: TUNIS - SIDI BOU SAID - TUNIS
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for a private full-day tour with an English-speaking guide.

Visit the Bardo Museum, the most important in the country, which contains the richest collection of Roman mosaics in the world, found in archaeological sites in Tunisia and which are very well preserved.

Then, visit the Medina of Tunis, between its streets and different old neighborhoods.

In the afternoon, visit the famous ruins of Carthage, the Punic port that housed the commercial and military fleet of Cartago, the ancient sanctuary of Tofetus dedicated to the most revered gods of Carthage, Tanit and Baal Hamon, the Byrsa hill that was the residential neighborhood of Cartago, and the Baals of the Antonine Emperor.

Continuation of the tour to Sidi Bou Said, a charming city with cobblestone streets and blue and white houses, located on the hillside.
