Destination Seychelles Islands

With terrestrial natural beauty and rich marine life on one of the largest coral atolls in the world, the Seychelles Islands are one of the most coveted destinations for tourists.
Discover the Seychelles Islands
Seychelles is located in the western part of the Indian Ocean and belongs to the African continent. It is an archipelago made up of 115 islands and is home to a population of approximately 87,000 inhabitants. The main islands are Mahé, Praslin and La Digue, where general and tourist services, the government and the cultural hub are concentrated.
The fantastic Vallée de Mai, on the island of Praslin, where the rare coco-de-mer grows, and the Aldabra Atoll, one of the largest coral atolls in the world, are two places recognized by UNESCO as World Heritage Sites. Awareness in the use of its resources was one of the reasons why it became one of the most coveted destinations by tourists in recent years. The preservation of fauna and flora guaranteed by law has developed tourism in Seychelles that is sustainable and guarantees the perpetuation of intact natural sanctuaries.
What sets Seychelles vacations apart from so many other destinations is their wide variety of islands — each with its own geography, personality and history. Visiting more than one island during your stay is a must - whether on day trips or staying at different hotels - and will add dimension to the experience.
Touristic spots
Mahé
Most of the hotels in Seychelles are located on this island which, in addition to being the largest in size, is the main one, housing the capital Victoria. This is where visitors can find services, shops and the most diverse restaurants serving international and local (Creole) cuisine. The main attractions are in the natural beauty, offering hiking tours and activities related to ecotourism. The beaches in the south of the island are more isolated and have fewer tourists.
What to do on Mahé
- Ste. Anne Marine promotes the conservation of marine life and offers a tranquil and welcoming environment, with an exuberant underwater setting. The place also offers activities such as observing marine life on glass-bottomed boats and trails.
- On Cerf Island it is possible to go snorkeling, kayaking and picnicking, which are popular in the region, so travelers can enjoy the abundant nature.
- A cultural tour of the capital Victoria leads to the Sir Selwyn Selwyn Clarke market, with a wide variety of products, ranging from spices to souvenirs, clothing and local art. Also in the capital, the Hindu Lord Vinayagar temple has surprising architecture and is certainly worth a visit
Praslin
It is on Praslin that the rare Coco-de-Mer is born in the Vallée de Mai, a park listed as a UNESCO historic heritage site. Considered the true Garden of Eden, the park has fantastic flora, nourished by fertile soil, which provides a surreal setting. Praslin is the second largest island in Seychelles and has hotel and service infrastructure in addition to one of the most beautiful beaches in the country, Anse Lazio.
Things to do in Praslin
- A UNESCO World Heritage Site, the Vallé de Mai is a mandatory stop on Praslin. The original home of the Coco-der-Mer, the park has abundant nature with six types of palm trees and the rare black parrot. Here visitors can go hiking, visit an oyster/black pearl farm, and visit the local aquarium.
La Digue
Smaller than Mahé and Praslin, La Digue can be explored on a bike tour. The island is home to mansions, forests rich in orchid species and one of the archipelago's most famous beaches, Anse Source d'Argent.
Things to do in La Digue
- The unique beach of Anse Source d'Argent has a landscape of granite rocks and crystal clear water. The waters are calm and for this reason the environment is suitable for snorkeling and has a small population of sea turtles.
- A trail that visits Gran Anse, Petit Anse and Anse Coco beaches.
