Thailand: vibrant culture, sacred temples, and exotic beaches in one destination!
DAY 1: BANGKOK
Arrival in Bangkok, immigration and reception at the airport. Private transfer with guide in Spanish to the hotel and accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 2: BANGKOK
Breakfast at the hotel. Private part-time tour with guide in Spanish in Bangkok to three of the most famous Buddhist temples: Wat Traimit, with its priceless Golden Buddha with 5 ½ tons of solid gold; Wat Po, the largest temple in Bangkok, with its colossal Reclining Buddha; and the Grand Palace of Bangkok, one of the most beautiful and ancient examples that used to be the residence of the kings of Thailand. Opportunity to visit the Funeral Palace, the Reception Palace, the Throne Room, the Coronation Room and the impressive Temple of the Emerald Buddha.
Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is free.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Half-day tour, with guide in Spanish, through Yaowarat (Chinese Quarter) and the Flower Market. The tour ends with a glass of sparkling wine at the Mandarin Oriental Hotel's Bamboo Bar, on the banks of the Chao Phraya River.
- Thai massage at a Spa, with transfers included. Traditional Thai massage is a therapeutic technique that provides relaxation and stimulation to the body, helping to alleviate common pain. It is based on rhythmic compressions applied to energy points and lines, combined with deep stretching, promoting circulation and balancing the body's energy flow.
DAY 3: BANGKOK
After breakfast at the hotel, private part-time tour with a Spanish-speaking guide to visit the famous market on the Maeklong Train Rails. When the train approaches the market, merchants fold their sales station to allow the train to cross the middle of the market.
Then, visit the traditional Damnoen Saduak Floating Market, which opens at dawn and closes at noon. Thai women wearing bamboo hats guide the small and numerous boats, offering fruits and vegetables. As it is always full, the best way to discover the market is from inside a boat that crosses the small canals, so you can buy fresh products from the merchants.
Return to the hotel and the rest of the day is free.
DAY 4: BANGKOK/CHIANG MAI
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer with guide in Spanish to the airport to board a flight to Chiang Mai (flight not included).
Arrival, reception and private transfer with guide in Spanish to the hotel for accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 5: CHIANG MAI
Breakfast at the hotel. Meeting with the guide and departure to visit various tribes in the region. First, a visit to the world-renowned Mae Tang tribe, home to women from Burma, known for wearing rings around their necks, the “giraffe women”. Then visit the Karen Hill and Lahu Hill tribes.
Stop at one of the region's orchid farms, where there is a wide variety of these flowers. It includes lunch at a local restaurant.
In the afternoon, tour Chiang Mai, passing by the most interesting Buddhist temples, such as the 600-year-old Wat Phra That Doi Suthep, atop Doi Suthep. After a stretch of ascent, the final part is made up of a staircase of 306 steps in the shape of a serpent. Inside, there is an intriguing copper-clad chedi under a five-tiered golden umbrella that are part of the Buddha's relics. On an open-air day there are beautiful views of the city.
Visit Wat Suan Dok, whose central stupa has a Buddha relic and contains the ashes of the Chiang Mai Royal Family; Wat Chedi Luang, where the Emerald Buddha once lived; and Wat Phra Singh, which houses the 1500-year-old Buddha image.
DAY 6: CHIANG MAI
Breakfast at the hotel. Journey of about 1 hour and 30 minutes to the Elephant Sanctuary.
Experience dedicated to the care and preservation of the Asian elephant. During the visit, an introduction will be presented on how to locate elephants in the jungle, responsible farm management, and the breeding program. Visitors will also learn how to interact with elephants, will participate in their daily feeding and care, and will have the opportunity to accompany them in a bath in the river. It includes traditional lunch and an English-speaking guide.
Return to the hotel.
DAY 7: CHIANG MAI/Krabi
Breakfast at the hotel. At an appropriate time, private transfer to Chiang Mai airport for boarding to Krabi.
- For accommodation in the Superior category: arrival in Krabi, reception at the airport and private ground transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
- For accommodation in the Luxury category: arrival in Krabi, private transfer to the pier and boarding by boat from the hotel to the Rayavadee hotel. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 8 AND 9: Krabi
Breakfast at the hotel. Free days.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Regular full-day boat tour, with an English-speaking guide to Phi Phi and Bamboo islands, with stops for swimming, snorkeling, visits to iconic beaches such as Maya Bay, Pileh Lagoon and Vikings Cave, plus lunch included and free time to rest.
DAY 10: KRABI
Breakfast at the hotel. Transfer to Krabi airport.
