Destination Kenya

Beautiful beaches, breathtaking landscapes, adventure sports, wild animals and also a cultural wealth from the ancient roots of Kenya's tribal peoples.
Discover Kenya
Located on the east coast of Africa, bathed by the Indian Ocean, Kenya is a fascinating vacation destination with several attractions: stunning landscapes, cultural diversity, adventure sports, beautiful beaches and wild animals. A former British colony, it became independent in 1963 and still preserves the cultural richness of the ancient roots of tribal peoples.
Renowned for their savannas, observation safaris are Kenya's main attraction. Its national parks and reserves are beautiful and impressive movie sets filled with wildlife in constant motion, including the “Big Five”: lions, buffaloes, rhinoceroses, elephants, and leopards.
The experience of discovering Kenya is not limited to safaris. This is a country of contrasts: deserts and snow, forests and plains, coral reefs and freshwater lakes are some of the destinations to be explored in the paradisiacal Kenyan landscapes.

Nairobi
Things to do in Nairobi
Home to zebras, buffaloes, giraffes, and lions, Nairobi National Park is the only national park within a city, just 20 minutes from downtown Nairobi. Here the safari is complete with the possibility of spotting the Big Five.
Nakuru/Naivasha
Things to do in Nakuru/Naivasha
Surrounded by picturesque scenery, lakes Nakuru and Naivasha include swamp areas and fields alternating with rocky cliffs and acacia forests. In the lakes, millions of flamingos roam in their shallow waters, along with other species of birds, hippopotamuses, and rhinoceroses.
Best time to go to Kenya
The rainy season is characteristic of the months of March, April and May. Therefore, traveling between June and February is recommended.
The dry season, from July to September, is ideal for visiting the region. During this period, the animals are concentrated around the few water reserves, making it easier to locate and observe them. Expeditions to Mount Kenya are also carried out at this time.
The great migration of animals from the Serengeti (Tanzania) to the Masai Mara (Kenya) takes place from July to October or mid-November. This movement of the animals depends on the period and amount of rainfall, making it difficult to define precisely.
Between December and March, the direction of migration is reversed - from the Masai Mara (Kenya) to the Serengeti (Tanzania); therefore, also a good time for safaris.
Despite being located at the height of the Equator, the climate is not so hot. This is due to its average altitude of more than 1,000 meters above sea level. It can get quite cold early in the morning and at night, so be sure to pack a warm coat. The temperature ranges from 12 ºC to 27 ºC in the highest parts.
