Discover Japan during the cherry blossom season on an 11-day itinerary.
DAY 1: TOKYO
Arrival at Narita or Haneda airport and private transfer to the hotel.
Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast. Rest of the day free for independent activities.
DAY 2: TOKYO - KANAZAWA
Breakfast and hotel check-out. Private transfer to Tokyo Station to board a bullet train (Kagayaki #509) bound for Kanazawa.
Arrival and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights with breakfast.
Rest of the day free for independent activities.
DAY 3: KANAZAWA
Breakfast at the hotel. Private full-day tour, with an English-speaking guide, to observe the cherry (sakura) trees.
Visit Kibagata Park, where 1,700 cherry trees border the lake with Mount Hakusan in the background; the Kutani-yaki Art Museum, with its collection of Kutani ceramics; and the Enuma Shrine.
Next, stop at the Kumasaka River Cherry Avenue, lined with 200 cherry trees creating a pink tunnel in spring, and visit Utatsuyama Park (Utatsuyama Park), located on top of a hill with views of Kanazawa and Mount Hakusan, where you can admire the 400-year-old Forest landscape.
DAY 4: KANAZAWA - KYOTO
Breakfast and hotel check-out. Private transfer to Kanazawa Station for boarding a bullet train (Tsurugi #17) to Tsuruga, followed by an express train (Thunderbird #18) bound for Kyoto.
Arrival and walk to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 5: KYOTO
Breakfast at the hotel. Private tour in public transport, with an English-speaking guide, in Kyoto.
Visit the Arashiyama Bamboo Grove and the Togetsukyo Bridge, a 155-meter bridge over the Katsura River. Then, visit the Tenryu-ji Temple (Tenryu-ji Temple), with its beautiful Japanese garden, and the Kinkaku-ji Temple, also known as the Golden Pavilion.
Finally, tour the Gion District. Known as the arts and entertainment district, Gion is famous for the elegant and traditional geishas that have enchanted visitors for centuries.
DAY 6: KYOTO - TAKAMATSU
Breakfast and hotel check-out. Walk to Kyoto Station to board the bullet train (Nozomi #13) to Okayama, followed by express train (Marin Liner #25) bound for Takamatsu.
Arrival and check-in at the hotel on your own. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 7: TAKAMATSU
Breakfast at the hotel. Private tour with an English-speaking guide to Takaya Shrine, located at the top of Mount Inazumi with its panoramic views.
Next, visit Kotohiki Park (Kotohiki Park), with views of Ariake Beach (Ariake-hama Beach), and Mount Shiude (Shiude-yama), famous for the landscape of the Seto Inland Sea.
Finally, take a stroll to Chichibugahama Beach (Chichibugahama Beach), also known as “Japan's Uyuni Salt Flats”, due to its tidal pools mirrored at sunset.
DAY 8: TAKAMATSU - MATSUYAMA
Breakfast and hotel check-out. Private transfer to Matsuyama (Dogo Onsen).
Arrival and accommodation for 2 nights, with half board.
Rest of the day free for independent activities.
DAY 9: MATSUYAMA
Breakfast at the hotel. Private public transport tour, with an English-speaking guide, to Dogo Park, site of the Yuzuki Castle Ruins, with more than 300 cherry trees, reconstructed samurai residences, and a small museum.
Then, visit the Sky Promenade & Footbath (Sora no sanpo michi) viewpoint, which offers panoramic views of the city and foot baths in hot springs, and the Isaniwa Shrine, built in the Hachiman-Zukuri architectural style.
Finally, a cable car ride to Matsuyama Castle and Shiroyama Park, which offer views of the city and the sea.
DAY 10: MATSUYAMA/TOKYO
Breakfast and hotel check-out. Private transfer to Matsuyama airport for boarding a flight to Tokyo (flight included).
Arrival and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 11: TOKYO
Breakfast and hotel check-out. Private transfer to Narita or Haneda airport.
