Osaka, Kyoto, Takayama, Hakone, Tokyo

10-day itinerary to discover Japan's contrasting landscapes through its public transportation network, visiting Osaka, Kyoto, Takayama, Hakone, and Tokyo with a private guide in Spanish.
DAY 1: OSAKA
Arrival at Kansai International Airport. After immigration and customs, reception and private transfer with assistance in Spanish to the hotel in Osaka. Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
Note: If you arrive before 8:00 or after 18:00 at the airport, a supplement will apply for the transfer.
DAY 2: OSAKA - NARA - KYOTO
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, meet the guide in the lobby to visit the impressive Osaka Castle. After the visit, private transfer to Nara to visit Todaji Temple, with its enormous image of the Buddha, and Nara Park, known for its sacred deer.
Lunch stop at a local restaurant (no drinks).
Continuation of the trip to Kyoto and visit the Fushimi Inari Taisha Shinto Shrine, with its thousands of red “toriis” (gates) that mark the path to the hill where the sanctuary is located.
Transfer to the hotel in Kyoto for accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 3: KYOTO
Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide in the lobby for a half-day tour of the former capital of Kyoto. Visit Nijo Castle, Kinkakuji Temple, also known as the Golden Pavilion, and Heian Shrine, home to the largest torii.
After lunch at a local restaurant (no drinks), afternoon free for independent activities.
Note: Nijo Castle is closed on Tuesdays in July, August, December, and January.
DAY 4: KYOTO
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
DAY 5: KYOTO - NAGOYA - TSUMAGO - TAKAYAMA
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, meet the guide in the lobby and private transfer to Kyoto Station for boarding a bullet train (shinkansen) to Nagoya.
Arrival in Nagoya and private transfer to Tsumag to visit “Waki Honjin”, a former Samurai inn. Lunch at a local restaurant, with typical regional food (without drinks).
Continue the trip to Takayama and visit Kami-sannomachi Street, a narrow, winding street that houses a variety of shops, restaurants, and geisha houses (traditional Japanese artists). Then transfer to the hotel in Takayama for accommodation for 1 night, with half board.
Note: After checking out at the Kyoto hotel in the morning, the main suitcase will be sent to Tokyo. During the trip through Takayama and Hakone, it will be possible to carry only one small suitcase.
DAY 6: TAKAYAMA - SHIRAKAWAGO - NAGOYA -
HAKONE Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Meeting with the guide and departure to Shirakawago to visit its traditional Gassho-Zukuri houses, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO.
After the tour, private transfer to Nagoya Station to board a bullet train (shinkansen) to Nagoya. Lunch at a local restaurant (no drinks). Then continue the bullet train ride to Odawara.
Arrival and private transfer to the hotel in Hakone for 1 night's accommodation, with half board.
DAY 7: HAKONE - TOKYO
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, meet the guide for a tour of Hakone National Park, embark on a mini cruise to visit Lake Ashi and ride a cable car to Mount Komagatake (due to weather conditions, these visits may be replaced by other activities).
After lunch at a local restaurant (no drinks), drive to Tokyo. Upon arrival in the city, visit the Tokyo Tower.
Transfer to the hotel in Tokyo for accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 8: TOKYO
Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with a guide in the lobby for a tour of the city of Tokyo. Visit the Asakusa Kannon Temple, the oldest in Tokyo, with its Nakamise shopping street, the Daiba neighborhood, and a short boat ride.
Stop for lunch at a local restaurant (no drinks) and free afternoon for independent activities.
Note: The boat tour does not work on Tuesdays.
DAY 9: TOKYO
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
DAY 10: TOKYO
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, meet a guide in the lobby to take a private transfer with assistance in Spanish to Narita (or Haneda) international airport.
Note: In case of a flight departing before 11:00 or after 22:00, a supplement will apply for the transfer.
THIS ITINERARY INCLUDES:

- Accommodation for 3 nights in Kyoto, with breakfast;
- Accommodation for 1 night in Takayama, with half board;
