Bonito, Pantanal
Fazenda Caiman, a Private Natural Heritage Reserve in the Pantanal, and Bonito, in the Serra da Bodoquena, reveal the best of Brazilian nature.
Day 1: CAMPO GRANDE - PANTANAL
Arrival in Campo Grande, reception by the local representative and private transfer in a 4x4 car to the hotel.
Accommodation for 4 nights, with full board, with selected beverages.
Accommodation at Caiman, Pantanal includes:
- Full board (breakfast, lunch and dinner), with meals prepared with regional ingredients grown by local communities and projects.
- Water and juices served during meals;
- Regular activities in shared vehicles, at pre-determined times for contemplating nature, such as: safaris, night focus, Canadian canoe trips and hiking trails, accompanied by Caimaner guides, mostly biologists and field guides, natives who are true connoisseurs of the region.
- Snack during tours.
Day 2 to 4: PANTANAL
Breakfast at the hotel. Free days for independent activities and to carry out the activities offered by the hotel.
Activities offered and organized by the hotel:
- Ecological Hiking: it is a tour that provides greater contact with the environment, observing the small animals and vegetation of the region, with an ecological focus that seeks to minimize the impact on the environment.
- Photo Safari, where you can see the peculiarities and contrasts of the vegetation, as well as a wide variety of animals.
- Night Focus, to observe the animals' nocturnal habits.
- Canadian canoe ride to admire the beautiful Pantanal sunset.
Day 5: PANTANAL - BONITO
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, meeting with the local representative and private transfer by 4x4 car to Bonito.
Arrival and accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.
Day 6: BONITO - BLUE LAKE CAVE - SÃO MIGUEL CAVE - SUCURI RIVER - BONITO
After breakfast at the hotel, I meet with the local representative to take a private transfer to the Blue Lake Cave, a cave famous for its crystal clear and blue lake. Arrival and meeting with the guide for a regular Bonito postcard tour.
Continue to the São Miguel Cave, where it is possible to observe various species of birds and wild animals.
Finally, visit the Rio Sucuri springs. The Sucuri River is considered one of the most crystalline rivers in the world and has been the scene of soap operas and several TV programs. Opportunity to float in the river while observing the underwater flora and various schools of fish.
Return to the hotel in Bonito.
7th day: BONITO - BOCA DA ONÇA WATERFALL - BONITO
After breakfast at the hotel, meeting with the local representative and private transfer to the Boca da Onça Waterfall region for a regular full-day tour.
Walk for about 4 km along the forest, passing through waterfalls and several natural pools, until reaching Cachoeira Boca da Onça, the highest in Mato Grosso do Sul, with an altitude of about 156 meters.
After the tour, return to the visitor center for lunch (without drinks) and free time for independent activities.
8th day: BEAUTIFUL - MIMOSO CAVE - BLUE SPRING - BEAUTIFUL
Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the local representative to take a private transfer to the Mimoso Cave, considered a jewel of nature due to the presence of unique geological formations inside.
In the cave, a group trail to the lake where it is possible to float.
Then continue to the Blue Spring to continue hiking through the riparian forest where you can see a diverse flora, limestone tuffs and a fig grove. Arrival at the lake and free time to float.
After the tour, return to the hotel in Bonito.
Day 9: NICE
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. At an appropriate time, meeting with the local representative and private transfer to Bonito airport.
