of sightseeing.

- Kathmandu: known as Kantipur, capital of Nepal. It includes a visit to the temple of the goddess Vivo, which recognizes the greetings of the devotees from the balcony of her temple residence. It is believed to have received this name because of the 'Kasthamandap', a wooden temple built from a single tree.

- Swoyambhunath Stupa: located about 4 km away, this Buddhist Stupa is believed to be 2,000 years old. The Stupa that forms the main structure is composed of a solid hemisphere of brick and earth supporting a raised conical tower capped by a copper pinnacle. Painted at the base of the four sides of the tower are all the eyes that see of the Buddha.

- Pashupatinat Temple: dating back to 400 A.D., it is one of the oldest Hindu temples dedicated to the god Shiva. It is to Hindus what Mecca is to Muslims. Set amidst an exuberantly green natural setting on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River, the temple built in a pagoda-style with a golden roof and richly carved silver doors.. Pashupatinath is the annual pilgrimage center on the day of Shivaratri, which falls in the month of February/March. There will also be an opportunity to see cremation sites that are located on the Bagmati bank, behind the temple.

- Boudhanath Stupa: one of the oldest and largest Buddhist monuments ever built in Nepal; Boudhanath is one of the most sacred structures imposing a height of 36 meters, with three massive Mandala-style platforms. It is surrounded by colorful buildings that house families, creating a friendly environment. The Stupa is visited every year by tens of thousands of pilgrims from around the world. Day

3: Kathmandu
*Optional: scenic Everest flight
.

After breakfast, full day of visits.

- Bungmati: located beyond the southern belt of the Ring Road. Within the valley is Bungmati, which is a small traditional Newari village. Little influenced by modern life, Bungmati exemplifies the true beauty of ancient culture. Your journey to Bungmati begins with a view to contemplate the entire village of Bungmati and Khokana. Descending the Bungmati trails, you will find local people working on wood or stone designs to create many artifacts with their talents, so that your future generations can enjoy them. At least 100 people from the village earn their living through wood carving. The village is the origin of the Machhindranath carriage precession — one of the most important festivals in the Newari community. Not far from the village of Bungmati, there is another interesting Newari village called Khokana, where an important temple of Lord Ganesh is situated.

- Khokana: a small Newari village in the south of the Kathmandu Valley and about 11 km from the city of Kathmandu, created in the 7th century AD by the powerful Licchhavi rulers of Nepal. It is a unique village, in the entire Kathmandu Valley, because of its detachment from modern civilization.

- Patan Durbar Square: located about 5 km south of Kathmandu, in the Kathmandu Valley, on the south side of the Bagmati River, Patan is one of the three Royal cities in the valley. Patan is a destination for lovers of fine arts: wood and stone sculptures, metal statues, ornate architecture, including dozens of Buddhist and Hindu temples, and more than 1,200 monuments. The city of Patan is believed to have been built in the 3rd century BC by the Kirat dynasty. It was expanded by Lichhavis in the 6th century AD and again by Mallas in the medieval period. Durbar, like its counterpart in Kathmandu, is an enchanting mix of palaces, artistic courtyards, and graceful pagodas. Listed as a World Heritage Site, the former royal palace is the center of Patan's religious and social life, and houses a museum containing a series of bronze statues and religious objects.

Day 4: Kathmandu - Nagarkot -
Kathmandu
Breakfast at the hotel.

*Optional: full-day hike from Changu Narayan to Telkot.

This day includes a tour to Nagarkot.

Departure towards Nagarkot, passing through Bhaktapur Durbar Square.

Bhaktapur Durbar Square (known as Bhadgaon): also known as Bhaktapur, which means city of devotees, this place is home to medieval art and architecture.

Located 14 km east of Kathmandu City, this place was founded in the 9th century and is shaped like a shell. The city is at an altitude of 4,600 feet above sea level. In Bhadgaon, visit Durbar Square, under the 55-window Palace built by King Bupatindra Malla. The Nyatapola Temple, also built by King Bhupatindra Malla, is the best example of the pagoda style, occupying five terraces, and each one represents a pair of figures — two strong men, two elephants, two lions, two griffins, and two goddesses. Weather permitting, a visit to the Thanka painting museum may also be considered.

Soon after, I went to Nagarkot.

Nagarkot is a village located about 32 kilometers east of Kathmandu, at an altitude of 6,800 feet above sea level. It is famous for being one of the most beautiful spots in the region, with its views at sunrise and sunset. Visitors often travel to Nagarkot from Kathmandu to spend the night so they can be there for the breathtaking sunrise. It also offers a great view of the Indrawati River valley in the east. The panoramic view of the Valley is described by visitors as a place whose beauty endures all year round. Weather permitting, it will even be possible to see Mount Everest with its snow-capped peaks on a very clear day from an observation tower atop the village's hills.

Return to Kathmandu and check-in for an overnight stay at the hotel.
