Touristic spots
Belgrade
Belgrade is Serbia's best-known city and home to the largest concentration of urban life. Here tourists can find bars, nightclubs, museums, historic churches and lots of urban art.
What to do in Belgrade
- Starting a tour of the Belgrade Fortress is perfect to get into the city's mood. Built in the 18th century, it overlooks the Sava and Danube rivers and the sunset view is one of the best in the city.
- A visit to the bohemian neighborhoods of Skadarlija and Dorcol, where the city's best cafés, bars, and restaurants are located. Plus, enjoying the urban art murals along the way makes the tour even more special.
- The Nikola Tesla Museum is one of the most interesting attractions in Belgrade. The mill born in Smiljan (Croatian territory) was an orthodox Serbian man seen as a hero by the locals. The museum exhibits some of his inventions and it takes about an hour to visit them.
Studenica Monastery
Although Serbia is a country of many monasteries, Studenica stands out the most. The building is one of the best examples of Serbian medieval architecture. In addition, inside the white marble church, the frescoes enchant visitors.
