Seoul, Busan, Jeju Island, Gyeongju

Discover South Korea on this 13-day itinerary. Explore vibrant Seoul, the beaches of Busan, the nature of Jeju Island, the history of Gyeongju, and the intriguing DMZ.

DAY 1: SEOUL
Arrival at Incheon airport and meeting with the local representative to take a private transfer to the hotel in Seoul.

Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 2: SEOUL
After breakfast at the hotel, around 9 am, I meet the local guide at the hotel reception for a private full-day tour of the city.

Visit the Gyeongbokgung Palace (closed on Tuesdays), an old royal palace known for its traditional Korean architecture and for being the main royal palace of the kings of the Joseon dynasty, the National Folk Museum, to observe the replicas of historical objects that illustrate the history of traditional life of the Korean people, and the Jogyesa Temple, one of the main Buddhist temples in the city.

Lunch stop at a local restaurant (no drinks).

In the afternoon, walk around the Bukchon district, a historic area famous for its traditional houses, the hanoks”.

Continue on foot to Gwangjang Market, one of the most famous street food markets in Seoul.

Return to the hotel.

DAY 3: SEOUL
After breakfast at the hotel, private full-day city tour.

Walking tour of the Gangnam district, an important center of business, commerce and entertainment, and visit the Bongeunda Temple, an important Buddhist temple with a 23-meter statue of Maitreya Buddha.

Then, a stroll along K-Star Road in Cheongdam-dong, a luxurious avenue where some Korean celebrities spend their free time, and the new Kwangya Seoul flagship store of the entertainment company SM where a shopping experience and digital services from SM Town is offered, there, it's the perfect place for fans to buy products from their favorite artists.

In the afternoon, walk the streets of Insadong and visit the Myeongdong neighborhood, a place to discover the latest Korean clothing and cosmetics trends.

At the end of the tour, return to the hotel.


DAY 4: SEOUL/JEJU ISLAND
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to Gimpo airport to board a flight to Jeju Island (flight not included).

Jeju Island, also known as “Island of the Gods”, is located south of the Korean Peninsula. It is the largest island in the country and stands out for its stunning natural landscapes, mild climate and rich culture.

Arrival on the island and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.

In the afternoon, walk along the city's edge, a popular hiking area.


DAY 5: JEJU ISLAND
After breakfast at the hotel, private full-day tour of the island.

Visit Jeongbang Waterfall, the only waterfall in Asia that falls directly into the ocean.

Then, visit Seongeup Folk Village, a cultural preservation area that maintains the characteristics of Jeju's old private homes.

Continue to Seongsan Ilchulbong, also known as “Sunrise Peak”, an area created by a volcanic eruption about 100,000 years ago that offers breathtaking views of its surroundings.

Finally, visit one of four tea plantations with tasting.


DAY 6: JEJU ISLAND/BUSAN
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private tour to the Andeok Valley, considered the most beautiful place on the island. Enjoy a short walk through this landscape surrounded by cliffs and camellias.

In the afternoon, private transfer to the airport to board a flight to Busan (flight not included), along the way, stopping at Yongduam Rock whose appearance represents the roar of a dragon coming out of the ocean.

Arrival in Busan and visit to the famous Haeundae Beach.

Then private transfer to the hotel and accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 7: BUSAN
After breakfast at the hotel, private full-day city tour.

Walk through the Jagalchi Market, famous for its fresh seafood and one of the largest in Asia.

Continue to Gamcheon Cultural Village, a maze of colorful houses, vibrant murals, and narrow streets. Nicknamed “Korea's Santorini”, it enchants with its art, culture and history.

In the afternoon, visit Yongdusan Park, an urban park located in the heart of Busan, famous for its panoramic view and for being the place where the Busan Tower is located.

After the tour, return to the hotel.


DAY 8: BUSAN - GYEONGJU
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Travel for about an hour and a half to Gyeongju, the cultural and spiritual capital of South Korea.

Arrival and full-day city tour. Visit the Gyeongju National Museum, which houses treasures, largely dedicated to the relics of the Silla Kingdom.

Walk through Tumuli Park or Daereungwon Tomb Complex, where it houses ancient Silla dynasty tombs known for their mound shapes. It includes admission to the Cheonmachong Tomb, also known as the Tomb of the Sky Horse.

Finally, tour Donggung Palace and Wolji Lagoon. Donggung Palace, also known as Anapji Palace, dates back to the Silla Kingdom period and features beautifully landscaped gardens. Adjacent to the palace, Wolji Lagoon is an artificial lagoon surrounded by lush landscapes, especially during spring and autumn.

After the tour, private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 9: GYEONGJU
After breakfast at the hotel, private full-day city tour. Visit the Bulguksa Temple, a Buddhist temple dating back to the period of the Silla Kingdom and declared, in the 2000s, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, and the Seokguram Cave, which houses a granite statue of the Buddha, sculpted in the 8th century. In the

afternoon, visit the oldest observatory in the Far East, the Cheomseongdae Tower, and walk along Hwangnidan Street, Gyeongju's cultural street.



DAY 10: GYEONGJU - GAYASAN NATIONAL PARK - DAEGU -
SEOUL
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to Gayasan National Park to visit the Haeinsa Temple. With its world-famous Korean cultural treasure, the Tripitaka Koreana, which houses 80,000 printing plates containing Buddhist scriptures, 15 national treasures, and about 200 private treasures.

Stop for vegetarian lunch at the temple.

Continue to Daegu train station to board the KTX train to Seoul. Arrival and accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 11: SEOUL - DMZ - SEOUL
After breakfast at the hotel, full-day tour to the Korean Demilitarized Zone with a local guide.

Arrival and continuation of passport security, followed by a brief introduction to the United Nations camp. Visit to Imjingak Park, a unification and security tourist complex consisting of the Imjingak Pavilion, the North Korea Center, the Unification Park and several monuments and memorials, and the 3rd Tunnel, an infiltration tunnel built by North Korea and discovered by South Korea in 1978.

Continuation to the Korean Demilitarized Zone Unification Observatory, also known as the Dorasan Observatory. It's the closest place to see Geumgangsan Mountain in North Korea. The DMZ Museum, which is located inside the observatory, allows visitors to learn about the DMZ (Demilitarized Zone) based on its historical records and the ecological importance of the area.

Finally, head to Tongil Chon or “Unification Village”, a quiet place located in a safe zone outside the DMZ.

After the tour, return to the hotel.


DAY 12: SEOUL
Breakfast at the hotel and departure to Gapyeong, in the northeast of the country, for a private day trip.

Visit Petite France, a theme park built in 2008 that simulates a small French village.

Then continue to the Garden of Morning Calm or “Garden of the Calm Morning” for a walk through the small alleys that connect 20 different gardens, with about 5,000 plants.

Return to the hotel.


DAY 13: SEOUL
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to Incheon Airport.
