From Madrid to the Basque Country

DAY 1: Madrid
Arrival in Madrid and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.

Free afternoon for independent activities.

In the evening, dinner with a tasting menu, accompanied by wine and water, followed by a Flamenco dance show at the Corral de la Morería, where some of the best professionals performed, most notably Pastora Imperio, La Chunga, María Albaicín, El Güito, Mario Maya, Manuela Vargas, Lucero Tena, Isabel Pantoja, Antonio Gades and Blanca del Rey.


DAY 2: MADRID
After breakfast at the hotel, private half-day tour with guide in Spanish in Madrid. This tour is ideal for exploring the history of the city during different periods, from the times of the Habsburgs and Bourbons to the present day.

Passage through the main monuments, such as the former residence of the King and Queen of Spain, the Royal Palace, the Plaza Mayor, the Sun Gate with the Royal Casa de Correos, the Gran Vía and the Retiro Park.

Then, visit the famous Prado Museum, one of the most important art galleries in the world. This gallery houses the collection of royal collections, preserved for centuries by different imperial dynasties. Works such as “Las Meninas” by Velázquez and “The 3rd of May 1808" by Goya stand out. The galleries are filled with masterpieces from the Spanish, Italian, and Flemish schools.

Return to the hotel and free time for lunch (not included).


DAY 3: MADRID - RUEDA - RIBERA DEL DUERO
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Travel of about 2 hours to the city of Rueda, renowned for the high quality of its white wines in Spain. Walk along the tunnels that were starting points for wine production in the region.

In Rueda, visit to the two wineries for wine tasting, in addition to the possibility of hiking through the vineyards.

At the end of the tour, lunch at a local restaurant (without drinks) and private transfer to the hotel in the Ribera del Duero region.

Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 4: RIBERA DEL DUERO
Breakfast at the hotel. Private half-day guided tour of the Ribera del Duero to explore wines through a new perspective. Visit to 3 different wineries: small (family), medium and large.

During the family visit, the opportunity to talk with the owners and learn about the secrets of wine production. It includes tasting of local wines and cheeses.

Continue to the second, medium-sized winery, which was formerly an old monastery and is located on the banks of the river, in the same region of Vega Sicily. It includes wine tasting and snacks.

Finally, the third visit leads to a large winery, where an expert guide presents the complete process of cultivating the vines and producing the wine, from the field to the fermentation and aging facilities. This stage is complemented by a wine tasting and a typical lunch from the region.


DAY 5: RIBERA DEL DUERO - BURGOS - RIBERA DEL DUERO
Breakfast at the hotel. Half-day private tour with guide in Spanish in Burgos, a city on the Camino de Santiago de Compostela.

The city, which was the capital of the unified kingdom of Castile and León for five centuries, boasts a masterpiece of Spanish Gothic architecture: the Cathedral of Burgos, declared a World Heritage Site by UNESCO. The region currently preserves its important vestiges from medieval times.

Return to the hotel and free afternoon for independent activities.


DAY 6: RIBERA DEL DUERO - LAS RIOJA
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, a trip of about 2 hours to Las Rioja, a region full of medieval villages.

Upon arrival, visit two wineries in the region, including a local lunch, with a three-course menu (without drinks) and wine tasting during a visit to the wineries.

In Las Rioja, accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.


DAY 7: LAS RIOJA - SAN SEBASTIÁN (Basque country)
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer of about 2 hours to the city of San Sebastián.

San Sebastián, called Donostia in Basque, is one of the pearls of the Basque Country, located in the north of Spain, on the edge of the Bay of Biscay. This enchanting city combines natural beauty, rich culture, renowned cuisine and a vibrant atmosphere, making it a prominent tourist destination.

Private half-day tour of San Sebastián. Walk through the main tourist attractions on one of the banks of the Urumea River, where you can find the Victoria Eugenia Theater and the María Cristina Bridge, a monumental bridge that crosses the river.

Then, stop by the old Casino and La Concha beach, where you can practice various sports, such as surfing, windsurfing, volleyball or beach soccer.

Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 8: SAN SEBASTIÁN (Basque country)
After breakfast at the hotel, visit a traditional local farm to learn about the methods used to produce regional cheeses.

Return to the hotel and free time for independent activities.

In the evening, private tour, with a guide in Spanish to the main gastronomic sights of San Sebastián, to enjoy the essence of Basque cuisine. During the tour, it includes tasting three drinks and three selected snacks at regional establishments.


DAY 9: SAN SEBASTIÁN
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to San Sebastián airport.
