DAY 1: Santarém - Alter do Chão
Arrival in Alter do Chão, reception and transfer of about 35 minutes to Alter do Chão. Accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.
Known as the Amazonian Caribbean, Alter do Chão offers paradisiacal scenery, several trails and hikes, and boat and canoe trips to catch a glimpse of a sunset descending on the river's skyline.
It is the ideal destination for those who want to relax and connect with nature, whether through the numerous freshwater beaches, the experience in FLONA (Tapajós National Forest) with the gigantic sumaúma trees or with visits to riverside and indigenous communities. Alter do Chão enchants and surprises its visitors.
DAY 2: Alter do Chão
After breakfast at the hotel, meeting with the local representative and a day dedicated to experiences that provide a deep connection with nature in its purest state.
Motor boat ride through Lago Verde, a place of great natural beauty, from where, according to legend, the Borari Indians, ancient inhabitants of the region, removed stones to make the muiraquitã, an amulet in the shape of a frog.
Then, visit Ponta do Jari, where you can observe wildlife, including sloths, monkeys, iguanas, porpoises, and exotic birds.
Time to observe the Royal Victories and go to Ponta de Pedras, with free time for swimming and rest, followed by lunch.
In the afternoon, visit Black Lake, where its crystal clear waters invite you to dive. Then stop at Cururu to enjoy a stunning sunset before returning to the hotel.
DAY 3: ALTER DO CHÃO
Breakfast at the hotel. Day dedicated to expanding understanding of sustainability in the Amazon, combining learning and moments of contemplation in scenarios of rare beauty.
Visit the picturesque Jamaraquá Community, in the heart of the Tapajós National Forest, to learn about sustainable forest management practices and the production of ecological leather from latex. On the way, stop to observe the beaches of Pindobal or Aramanai.
In the afternoon, visit Cajutuba's enchanting beaches for a river bath.
DAY 4: ALTER DO CHÃO
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day for independent activities.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Love Island Tour;
- Ecological Trails in the Tapajós National Forest or Morro da Piraoca;
- Visit to the Local Handicraft Market.
- Canoeing on the Tapajós River or Stand-Up Paddle (SUP) activity.

DAY 5: ALTER DO CHÃO - SANTARÉM
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. At an appropriate time, meeting with the local representative and a private transfer of about 1 hour to Santarém airport.
Season of the year: Alter do Chão has two well-defined seasons: one rainy and the other dry, and the scenarios are different depending on the season. During the storm, from August to January (Amazonian summer), it is ideal for visiting the river beaches formed by the bottom of the rivers and hiking on a wider variety of trails in the FLONA. The full season, from February to July (Amazonian winter), is ideal for canoe trips in the igapo (the Amazonian trees covered by rivers).
Difficulty Level: Easy to Moderate. It's an easy trip for anyone, of any age, and in good health. This trip includes a circuit walk, lasting 3 to 4 hours in the forest with a slope of up to 100 meters in height. In addition, travelers must be able to board and disembark at careless access structures and be comfortable in an intense program.
