Lima, Paracas, Cusco, Aguas Calientes

A group itinerary, to immerse yourself in the rich history of Lima, fly over the enigmatic Nazca lines, be enchanted by the fauna of the Ballestas Islands and experience the magic of Machu Picchu. Every day is a new discovery in the Andes!
DAY 1: LIMA
Arrival in Lima, reception and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights with breakfast.
The Peruvian capital is a modern metropolis steeped in history and has great architectural monuments.
DAY 2: LIMA
After breakfast at the hotel, tour to explore Lima's main attractions. Visit the Plaza de Armas and examples from the colonial era, in addition to the Lima Cathedral, built in the 16th century.
Visit the Larco Museum, in the Pueblo Libre neighborhood, a 15th century viceregal mansion that houses more than 3,000 years of pre-Columbian Peruvian history that currently has the best collection of cult gold and silver jewelry.
DAY 3: LIMA/PARACAS - NASCA - PARACAS
After breakfast and check-out from the hotel, transfer to Paracas for approximately 4 hours. Upon arrival, board a small plane for an experience of flying over the desert, to observe the mysterious Nazca lines, and, if weather conditions permit, the possibility of overflying the recent findings in Palma.
Return to Paracas and free time for independent activities.
DAY 4: PARACAS - BALLESTAS ISLANDS - LIMA
Breakfast and hotel check-out. Departure for a speedboat ride to the Ballestas Islands, a natural reserve of beautiful geological formations, impressive animal fauna and remains of a pre-Inca culture, which dominated the desert to establish a prosperous society under adverse conditions.
At the end of the tour, transfer to Lima and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 5: Lima/Cusco
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel, private transfer to Lima airport and boarding a flight (not included) to Cusco.

In the afternoon, guided tour of Koricancha, a temple dedicated to the Sun God, accompanied by the guide. This temple was built by order of the Inca Pachacumtec and which, upon the arrival of the Spanish, became the base for the construction of the Santo Domingo Convent.
Then, visit the Cathedral, the most impressive monument in the Plaza de Armas, whose construction began in 1560 and only ended in 1654, and the Sacsayhuamán Fortress, a building of enormous stones sculpted and joined with precision, and the Qenqo, an archaeological complex mainly for religious use, where it is believed that agricultural rituals were performed.
Continuation of visits to the Puka Pukara archaeological complex, known as the “red fortress” in Quechua, an ancient Inca military complex.
DAY 6: CUSCO - MACHU PICCHU - AGUAS CALIENTES
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Travel by train to Aguas Calientes, on a route with beautiful landscapes. Then, transfer by bus to the entrance gate of the Machu Picchu citadel, known as the “lost city of the Incas”, a masterpiece of engineering and architecture that is believed to have served as a sanctuary and resting place for the famous Inca Pachacumtec. Discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911 and considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The architectural beauty, natural landscape and enigmatic energy of the citadel enchant visitors.
When exploring Machu Picchu, an opportunity to delve into the origins of the magnificent citadel, in addition to discovering the monuments that made it so renowned.
Return by bus to Aguas Calientes for lunch and free time. Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
Note: lunch time (included) during the tour may vary depending on the entrance to the citadel.
DAY 7: Aguas Calientes - CUSCO
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel and free time for independent activities. Transfer to Cusco and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Make a new visit to the Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary (requires advance reservation).
- Climbing the Huayna Picchu mountain, with a climb of approximately 1 hour.
Day 8: Cusco
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, private transfer to the airport.
THIS ITINERARY INCLUDES:
- Accommodation for 3 nights in Lima, with breakfast;
- Accommodation for 1 night in Paracas, with breakfast;
- Accommodation for 2 nights in Cusco, with breakfast;
- Accommodation for 1 night in Aguas Calientes, with breakfast.

- Tour with a bilingual guide (Spanish and English) during the program;
- Flight over the Nazca Lines in a small plane.
- Ballestas Islands boat trip.
- Round trip ticket to Machu Picchu on the Vistadome train (Peru Rail). Luggage allowed: bag or backpack weighing 5 kg and 157 cm (height + length + width);
- Lunch (without drinks) at a traditional restaurant in Aguas Calientes.
