Extension to the White Desert
Cairo, Parque Nacional do Deserto Branco
Three days exploring the White Desert and its surroundings, with visits to the Black Desert, Crystal Mountain, and Baharya Oasis. It includes hikes, stops at natural formations, and experiences at historic sites.
DAY 1: CAIRO - WHITE DESERT NATIONAL PARK
Arrival in Cairo and private transfer to El Heiz Oasis (approximately 4 hours), with a stop for lunch and rest along the way.
Continue to the Black Desert, characterized by being covered by dust and black stones of hardened lava, the result of the volcanic activity that occurred in the region.
Then, departure to the Crystal Mountain (Gebel al-Izzaz), a hill formed by quartzite crystals, known as the Jewel of the Desert, because under the sunlight, the crystals create an enchanting visual effect.
Finally, arrival in the White Desert. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
In the evening, have dinner at the hotel.
DAY 2: WHITE DESERT NATIONAL PARK
Breakfast at the hotel and full-day tour with an English-speaking guide through the White Desert National Park, known for its white limestone formations.
During the tour, an opportunity to walk through natural sculptures, whose shapes refer to animals, tents, mushrooms and sphinxes.
In the evening, have dinner at the hotel.
DAY 3: WHITE DESERT NATIONAL PARK
After breakfast, private transfer to Baharya oasis to visit the Mummy Hall (known as the site of the golden mummies), the Bennutti tombs and the archaeological site of Qasr Selim.
Lunch (without drinks) at a local restaurant and finally, return to Cairo.
