Cairo and Fayoum
Cairo, Fayoum
This itinerary combines Cairo with the Fayum Oasis, also known as the Venice of Egypt.
DAY 1: CAIRO
Arrival at Cairo International Airport, assistance and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 2: CAIRO
After breakfast at the hotel, private tour with a guide in Portuguese to one of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World, the Pyramids of Giza. The complex has three pyramids of the pharaohs: Cheops, Chephren and Mycerinus. The main pyramid is that of Cheops, as its chambers and internal tombs are open to visitors. Built with more than 2 million stones, some weighing approximately 2 tons, the dimensions of the pyramids impress and enchant.
Not far from the pyramids is the Great Sphinx of Giza, built during the reign of Pharaoh Chephren (2,620 BC). Carved from natural yellow limestone, this unmistakable statue of about 20 meters high and 57 meters long combines the head of a pharaoh with the body of a lion.
Lunch break at an oriental restaurant before starting a visit to the ancient capital of Memphis and Sakkara, where the step pyramid was built for Pharaoh Zoser. It is the oldest pyramid in the world, dating back to 2700 BC.
Return to the hotel.

DAY 3: CAIRO
After breakfast at the hotel, private tour with a guide in Portuguese to the Egyptian Museum, built by the Egyptian government in 1835. The current museum building was built in 1900 in the classic style of the architect Marcel Dourgnon. The museum displays collections that exceed 120,000 objects, from the prehistoric era to the Greco-Roman period.
Lunch break at a local restaurant and visit the Citadel, where Mohamed Ali's mosque is located. One of Cairo's most popular tourist attractions, the Citadel is on a limestone spur that was separated from the Moqattam Hills by a quarry and houses several museums, ancient mosques, and other points of interest.
Finally, visit Khan El Khalili bazaar.
Return to the hotel.
DAY 4: CAIRO - FAYOUM
Breakfast at the hotel and private transfer to Fayoum, on a journey of approximately 90 minutes. Arrival at the hotel for accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.

DAY 5 TO 7: FAYOUM
Breakfast at the hotel. Free days for independent activities.
During your stay, choose one of the following activities that take place in the vicinity of the hotel:
- Horseback riding;
- Tour to observe the sunset on a feluca.
- Wadi Al Rayan dune hike, a natural world cultural heritage site of ancient civilizations, unique with its spectacular sand dunes, desert landscapes and rock formations. The two lakes, waterfalls, and a spring oasis contain rare wildlife, several species of birds and fish, and fossils of creatures from the past.
- Ride a 4x4 vehicle to discover the desert landscape of Madinet Madi, a labyrinth of fascinating and well-preserved pharaonic temples from the late Greco-Roman period, and to Wadi Al Hitan. Originally, the area was an ocean bed, with a large number of whale skeletons. Wadi El Hitan is one of the largest open-air museums, designated by UNESCO as a “World Heritage Site”, where hundreds of fossils of the first forms of whales are exhibited.
- Birdwatching: Fayoum Oasis is one of the most important birdwatching sites in Egypt. It is a vital location for waterfowl in winter and as a preparation area during migration.
- Safari to explore the Egyptian desert.
- Madinet Madi tour: located about 30 km from Fayoum, on a small hill that guards its southwestern entrance, Madinet Madi, which means “city of the past”, contains pharaonic temples that were built in the 12th dynasty by kings Amenemhat III and IV and restored during the 19th dynasty.
- Drive to Madawara Mountain, which is located at the edge of the Sahara desert. The mountain is surrounded by sculpted sand dunes and limestone formations.
DAY 8: FAYOUM - CAIRO
Breakfast at the hotel and private transfer to Cairo airport.
