Extension to Normandy

Day 1: PARIS - CAEN - MOUNT ST. MICHEL - CAEN
Arrival in Paris and self-presentation at the train station to board a train bound for Caen. Arrival and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.

Caen is known for its medieval castle and the churches of William the Conqueror. It was an important city in the Second World War and today it is an administrative and cultural center.

In the afternoon, private transfer to Mont St. Michel, a majestic 12th century Gothic abbey and one of the most visited sites in France. Arrival and meeting with the local guide for a walk around Mont St. Michel and Mont Saint Michel Abbey.

Free time for independent activities.

Return to the hotel in Caen.


Day 2: CAEN - PONT L'Eveque - BAYEUX - CAEN
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the traditional market of Pont L'Eveque, to explore the variety of outdoor stalls.

Free time to stroll around the market, where you can buy delicious cheese with a washed rind or taste the “Normande teurgoule”, a sweet rice flavored with cinnamon, cooked slowly in the oven for several hours.

Then, the opportunity to experience the Calvados Experience, a 3,000 m² space where you can learn everything about calvados - a type of apple brandy that only exists in Normandy - on a 1-hour free tour, including tasting.

Return to the hotel in Caen, with a brief stop in Bayeux en route to visit.

Free afternoon for independent activities.

Day 3: CAEN - LE VILLAGE FROMAGER - LISIEUX - CAEN
After breakfast at the hotel, meet the guide for a private half-day tour.

Visit to Le Village Fromager, where you have the opportunity to visit the Fromagerie E. Graindorge, a unique concept where visitors can discover the cheese-making workshops through a corridor of glass galleries that show the different aspects of the production of Norman cheeses, from the arrival of milk to the packaging of the cheeses. After the visit, tasting of the 4 Normandy Protected Origin (AOP) cheeses: Camembert, Livarot, Pont L'Eveque and Neufchâtel.

Then, transfer to the city of Lisieux, a small medieval city famous for its religious heritage and the second largest sanctuary in France. Visit the Basilica of Saint Thérèse, the largest religious sanctuary in Normandy, and the Saint-Pierre de Lisieux Cathedral, one of the oldest Gothic cathedrals in Normandy and the former seat of an important bishopric until the French Revolution.

Finally, take a tour of the themed route “La Route des Châteaux et Manoirs”, with a panoramic visit to the Château de Saint-German-de-Livet and the Château de Boutemont, in Olly-le-Vicomte, an old medieval fortress built in the 12th century. Return to the hotel in Caen and free afternoon for independent activities.




Day 4: CAEN - HONFLEUR - ETRETAT - HONFLEUS - DEAUVILLE - TROUVILLE SUR MER - PARIS
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Meeting with the driver and departure to the Alabaster Coast, one of the most scenic in the entire European continent. Stop in Etretat to visit the famous Jardins de Etretat, an experimental garden on top of a cliff with “living sculptures” that belonged to Madame Thébault, Parisian actress, in the 20th century.

Continuation to Honfleus and free time for lunch and free time for independent activities.

Then, visit the two Normandy spa towns: Deauville and Trouville. Free time for independent activities.

At the end of the day, private transfer to the train station and return to Paris.
