Champagne and Wine Route in Alsace

Discover Paris, Reims, and Strasbourg: a journey of champagne, wine, and culture on this 6-day trip.
Day 1: PARIS - REIMS
Presentation on behalf of the passenger at the Paris train station to board a high-speed train to the city of Reims. Arrival and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
Reims, located in the Champagne region, is renowned for its rich history and the production of champagne. The city is home to the majestic Notre-Dame Cathedral, where the kings of France were crowned.
DAY 2: REIMS - CHAMPAGNE ROUTE - REIMS
After breakfast at the hotel, private full-day tour of the Champagne Route, with driver guide in Spanish or Portuguese (subject to availability and confirmation). This tour includes visits to the main wineries, explanations about the champagne making process, guided tours of the vineyards and champagne tasting.
Departure to Hautvillers, the birthplace of champagne, which owes its notoriety to Dom Pérignon, a Benedictine monk who over the centuries has been attributed the invention of champagne. Visit to the cellars of a family property and guided tasting, to better understand the processes of how champagne is made.
Continue to Épernay, known internationally as “the Capital of Champagne” and visit its main avenue, the Champs Elysées of the Grand Est, where it has a collection of luxurious 19th century mansions, which house some of the most illustrious champagne houses, such as Moët & Chandon, Dom Pérignon, and others.
Before returning to Reims, tour the vineyards and visit one of the traditional wineries or one of the Grandes Casas in the region, to wrap up the day with a champagne tasting.

DAY 3: Reims - Strasbourg
Breakfast at the hotel and free morning for independent activities.
After checking out at the hotel, private transfer to the train station for boarding to Strasbourg. Arrival and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.

Strasbourg is a city located in the east of France, in the Alsace region. Known for its enchanting architecture, it stands out for the Strasbourg Cathedral, a Gothic masterpiece. The city houses the European Parliament and is an important cultural center, with French and German influences. Its cobblestone streets, picturesque canals, and historic neighborhoods, such as La Petite France, make it a popular tourist destination. Strasbourg is also famous for its cuisine, highlighting typical dishes from the Alsatian region.
DAY 4: STRASBOURG - WINE ROUTE - STRASBOURG
Breakfast at the hotel and private full-day tour of the Wine Route, with a guide in Spanish or Portuguese (subject to availability and confirmation).
On the Wine Route, vineyards stretch along the route in a narrow strip of almost 200 km, passing through picturesque villages, many of which are still surrounded by medieval walls.
Visit the most important fortress in Alsace: the Haut-Koenigsbourg Castle or the “King's High Castle”, located on a hill, offers panoramic views of the region. With its striking architecture and intriguing history, the castle represents Alsace's rich cultural heritage.
Then tour the Upper Rhine with a brief stop in Kaysersberg to explore the city. Continue to the village of Riquewihr, one of the region's great classics. Free time for lunch (not included).
In the afternoon, visit the pearl of Alsace, Colmar. Among the reasons for its charm are its rich historical and architectural heritage, the German influence (the Gothic style) on many of the historic buildings in the city center, and the Little Venice neighborhood.
Return to the hotel in Strasbourg.
DAY 5: Strasbourg
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Full day tour with guide in Spanish or Portuguese (subject to availability and confirmation) to Obernai, to discover one of the most beautiful villages in Alsace;
- Wine tasting at Maison Klipfel, created in 1824.
Day 6: Strasbourg - Paris
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to Strasbourg train station for boarding the train to Paris.
