Bordeaux Wine Route

Day 1: BORDEAUX
Arrival in Bordeaux and private transfer to the hotel for accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.

Bordeaux is famous for its vineyards and 18th century architecture. The city displays a unique cultural wealth, housing renowned museums, such as the Cité du Vin.


DAY 2: BORDEAUX
After breakfast at the hotel, meet the guide in Spanish or Portuguese (subject to availability) for a private half-day walking tour of the city.

Visit the Marché des Capucins, one of the most famous markets in Bordeaux, where you can find a variety of products, foods, flowers, wines and restaurants. Continue to the historic center of the city, passing through the picturesque neighborhood of Saint-Pierre, the Grand Théâtre with its magnificent staircase, the Place de la Bourse, an elegant square lined with two impressive buildings and with the largest body of water in the world, the Hotel des Douanes, Basilique Saint-Seurin with its Gallo-Roman sarcophagi and beautiful bishop's throne carved in stone, the Basilica of Saint Michael and the Cathedral of St. André.

Free afternoon for independent activities.

• Visit the Cité du Vin, an interactive cultural center dedicated to wine, which explores the history, culture, and diversity of wine around the world.

DAY 3: Bordeaux - Saint-Émilion - Medoc - Bordeaux
After breakfast at the hotel, meet the guide in Spanish or Portuguese (subject to availability) for a private full-day tour of the Bordeaux wine region.

The first stop is in Saint Emilion where you have the opportunity to visit one of the “châteux”, the Grand Cru Classé Saint-Emilion, to visit its important wineries and try its renowned wines. Picnic-style lunch stop at a château.

Saint Emilion, located in the midst of endless vineyards, has its origins in the 8th century, when the hermit Emiliano excavated a cave in the rock to live in. A monastery was built on the site, which, in the Middle Ages, gave rise to a small village. With picturesque fortifications, narrow stone streets and medieval houses, the place preserves its historical and cultural heritage to this day.

In the afternoon, continue to Medoc, home to some of the most famous and prestigious producers. Visit the Château Grand Cru Classé 1855 where you can learn a little about the property and the cellars where the great Bordeaux wines are produced. Tasting of some of the locally produced wines.

Then, visit a charming family property, where you'll learn a little more about wine production and tasting. Opportunity to taste local wines.

Return to the hotel in the late afternoon.


DAY 4: Bordeaux - Arcachon Bay - Bordeaux
Breakfast at the hotel and meeting with the guide in Spanish or Portuguese (subject to availability) for a full-day tour of Arcachon Bay, a natural bay of 1500 hectares located about 55 minutes from Bordeaux.

Arcachon Bay is divided into a summer city, on the edge of the bay, and a winter city, a little higher up. The winter city is composed of beautiful centuries-old houses with diverse architecture, and is also recognized for its oysters.

Board a private boat for a ride of about 2 hours. Lunch on board with white wine tasting.

In the afternoon, visit the Pilat Dune, the highest dune in Europe. Once at the top, enjoy the incredible view of the pine forests and the Banc d'Arguin nature reserve.

Return to the hotel at the end of the day.


DAY 5: Bordeaux
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to the airport or train station.
