Normandy and Brittany: from the Alabaster Coast to the Emerald Coast

Explore France's Atlantic coast on this 7-day itinerary. Visit the Alabaster Coast and the Emerald Coast, as well as other major cities in Normandy and Brittany.
Day 1: Paris - Rouen - Etretat - Honfleur
Arrival in Paris and private transfer to Rouen, the historic capital of Normandy and the scene of the execution of Joan of Arc. Panoramic tour of the city, accompanied by a local guide in Spanish or Portuguese (subject to availability and confirmation), to visit the Notre-Dame de Rouen Cathedral and the “Grosse Horloge”, the bell tower that houses the city's bells and one of the oldest clocks in Europe.
Stop for lunch (not included) and continue to the Alabaster Coast, one of the most scenic in the entire European continent, until arriving in Etretat to visit the famous Etretat Gardens, an experimental garden on top of a cliff with “living sculptures” that belonged to Madame Thébault, a Parisian actress, in the 20th century. Free time for independent activities.
Finally, arrival in Honfleur and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
Day 2: Honfleur - Bayeux - Mont St. Michel
Breakfast, check-out at the hotel and free morning for independent activities.
In the afternoon, transfer to the beaches that were the scene of the Allied landings in Normandy during World War II. Visit Omaha Beach, the most famous and the most difficult to conquer on D-Day, and the American Cemetery, where more than 9,000 American soldiers who lost their lives that day are buried.
After the visit, a brief stop in Bayeux to visit and continue to Mont St. Michel. Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
Mont St. Michel, the majestic 12th century Gothic abbey, a World Heritage Site and one of the most visited sites in France. Its reinforced granite construction made it resistant to the attacks of the Vikings, the English and the Hundred Years' War.
Day 3: MOUNT ST. MICHEL - CANCALE - SAINT MALO
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, tour of Mont St. Michel and the Abbey of Mont Saint Michel, a temple of Gothic architecture, founded by Bishop Aubert d'Avranches.
Free time for lunch (not included).
Then travel to Cancale, the gateway to the Emerald Coast and the “oyster city”. Free time for independent activities.
Continuation of the trip to Saint Malo. Located in the north of Brittany, it preserves almost all of its original medieval buildings.
Accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.
Day 4: SAINT MALO
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Ride in a vintage vintage car along the coastline to discover the pearls of the Emerald Coast. It includes tasting of local Brittany products.
Day 5: SAINT MALO - CAP FRÉHEL - FOR LA LATTE - DINAN - SAINT MALO
After breakfast at the hotel, full-day tour with a guide in Spanish or Portuguese (subject to availability and confirmation).
Passage through Cape Fréhel, on the Côtes-d'Armor, where the Cap Fréhel Lighthouse is located.
Continue along the coast with a stop at Fort La Latte to visit La Roche Goyon Castle with its genuine medieval walls.
Finally, continue to Dinan, in the Brittany countryside. Known since the 11th century, it is the best-preserved medieval city in Brittany. Free time for independent activities.
Return to the hotel in Saint Malo.
Day 6: SAINT MALO
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
Day 7: SAINT MALO - PARIS
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to the train station for return to Paris.
