An enchanting itinerary to explore Cinque Terre: charming coastal villages in Italy, with colorful houses, stunning trails and beautiful Mediterranean landscapes.
DAY 1: PISA - MONTEROSSO AL MARE
Arrival in Pisa and private transfer to the hotel located in Monterosso al Mare.
Accommodation for 9 nights, with breakfast.
Monterosso al Mare is a charming coastal village located in the Ligurian region of Italy. It is part of the famous Cinque Terre, a group of five picturesque villages built on seaside cliffs. Monterosso is the largest of the Cinque Terre and combines natural beauty, history and culture, making it an unmissable region to stay and explore.
DAY 2: MONTEROSSO al mare - PORTOVENERE - MONTEROSSO al mare
After breakfast, drive to Portovenere, on a trip of about 1 hour, for a private tour on a traditional Italian “gozzo” boat lasting approximately 5 hours, along the Cinque Terre coast, to experience the best of the region in style, with a stop in Portovenere to enjoy the view of the Gulf of Poets.
While sailing, free time to swim or simply relax and enjoy the scenery.
It includes an onboard limoncello tasting and alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages selected during the tour.
Return to the hotel.
DAY 3: MONTEROSSO AL MARE - PORTOFINO - SANTA MARGHERITA LIGURI - MONTEROSSO AL MARE
After breakfast, drive of about 1 hour and 30 minutes to the famous region of Portofino and Santa Margherita Ligure.
Free time for independent activities.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Trail in the Portofino Regional Natural Park;
- Visit to the Villa Durazzo Gardens, in Santa Margherita Ligure.
DAY 4: MONTEROSSO AL MARE
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
DAY 5: MONTEROSSO AL MARE - Florence - Lucca - Monterosso al Mare
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, a trip of about 2 hours and 30 minutes, for a private full-day tour of Florence and Lucca, accompanied by a guide in Portuguese or English (subject to availability).
In Florence, meet with the guide to discover the city full of art and beauty. Florence is home to renowned museums, such as the Uffizi Gallery and the Galleria dell'Accademia. In addition to its rich history, Florence enchants with its cathedral, the Duomo and the Ponte Vecchio over the Arno River.
During the tour, opportunity to taste the typical “Lampreduto” sandwich, with a glass of wine.
Then travel to Lucca for a panoramic tour. Lucca is a medieval city, famous for its preserved walls, churches and squares in addition to its welcoming atmosphere.
DAY 6: MONTEROSSO AL MARE
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
DAY 7: MONTEROSSO AL MARE
After breakfast, meeting with the guide and departure for a gastronomic tour along the Cinque Terre coast. It includes a course on how to prepare Pesto sauce.
DAY 8: MONTEROSSO AL MARE
Breakfast, private tour with driver to the famous Carrara Marble Caves in a 4x4 car, where some scenes from the movie “007-Quantum of Solace” were filmed in 2008. Opportunity to travel along winding and steep roads generally inaccessible to most visitors.
Stop for lunch, next to the caves. Then, travel to Pisa, where the famous Leaning Tower of Pisa is located.
DAY 9: MONTEROSSO AL MARE
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
DAY 10: MONTEROSSO AL MARE - Pisa
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, private transfer to Pisa airport.
