The Northern Lakes, from Como to Garda

DAY 1: MILAN -
COMO Arrival at Malpensa airport in Milan and private transfer to Como on a journey of approximately 1 hour. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.

Free day for a walk on the shores of Lake Como. With an area of 146 km², it is the third largest lake in Italy.


DAY 2: HOW - BRUNATE - LIKE
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the funicular in Como. Embark to Brunate, taking in the beautiful panoramic views along the way. Free time for independent activities.

Return to Como by funicular, followed by land transfer to the hotel. Rest of the afternoon free for independent activities.


DAY 3: HOW
After breakfast at the hotel, walk through the city's main tourist attractions, such as Piazza Roma, the Cathedral, the Broletto and the Civic Tower.

Continue to Piazza Giuseppi Verdi, where the Teatro Social is located, and to Piazza San Fedele, with the homonymous Basilica.

Then, visit the city's defensive walls and the 40-meter-high Porta Torre, built in 1192 to defend the city's main entrance.

Finally, arrival at Lake Como, and free afternoon for independent activities.


DAY 4: HOW - MILAN
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Transfer to Como train station to board a train bound for Milan.

Arrival and panoramic tour of the city's main tourist attractions. Visit the Milan Cathedral, with its Gothic architecture, the Vittorio Emanuele II Gallery and the Royal Palace, which for many centuries was the administrative headquarters and royal residence of the city.

Then, stop by Piazza della Scala, home to the Teatro alla Scala, one of the most famous opera houses in the world, and the Castello Sforzesco built around the 14th century.

Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.


DAY 5: MILAN - VERONA
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Transfer to the train station to board the train to Verona, the famous city for being the setting for Shakespeare's play “Romeo and Juliet”.

Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.


DAY 6: VERONA - SIRMIONE
After breakfast and check out at the hotel, tour of the city's main tourist attractions. Visit the largest square in Verona, Piazza Bra, the medieval gates of Bra and the Roman Amphitheater also known as the “Verona Arena”.

Continue along Via Mazzini, Verona's main shopping street, to Piazza Erbe, where you can find the Mazzanti Houses, the Fountain of Madonna Verona, and Piazza dei Signori, with the Statue of Dante Alighieri, the Scaligeri Tombs and the famous Juliet's House.

Stop for lunch (not included).

Then transfer to the train station and departure for Sirmione in a journey of about 30 minutes. Arrival and private transfer to the hotel, with a stop at a winery along the way for a wine tasting of the region with typical products.

Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 7: SIRMIONE
After breakfast at the hotel, tour of the city's main tourist attractions. Visit the Scaligero Castle, a fortress from the Scaliger era and one of the best preserved castles in the region, to Piazza Castello, where the Church of Sant'Anna della Rocca is located, the Church of Santa Maria Maggiore and the thermal springs of Sirmione, known for its beneficial properties.

Finally, visit the Church of San Pietro in Mavino and the Catullus Caves, the largest archaeological area of the largest Roman villa in the north of the country.

Free afternoon for independent activities.


DAY 8: SIRMIONE
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer with a journey of about 1 hour to Milan's Malpensa airport.
