Day 1: IMPERATRIZ - CAROLINA
Arrival at Imperatriz airport, reception and shared transfer to Carolina, covering approximately 220 km along the BR-010 highway. Accommodation for 6 nights, with breakfast.
Carolina, in the south of Maranhão, is the gateway to Chapada das Mesas and a destination full of natural beauty. Surrounded by rivers, waterfalls, canyons and rock formations, it combines historic charm, local culture and ecotourism, attracting travelers seeking adventure and contact with nature.
Day 2: CAROLINA - BLUE CHARM - BLUE WELL - Cachoeiras Santa Paula and SANTA BÁRBARA - CAROLINA
Breakfast at the hotel. Departure in the morning, with a journey of approximately 100 km on asphalt along the BR-230 Highway (Transamazônica) to the city of Riachão, followed by 15 km on the MA-334 and another 20 km on a dirt road to Encanto Azul, a source of waters that spring from limestone rocks, of a bluish and crystalline hue, ideal for floating. Then, drive to the Blue Well Complex for lunch (not included).
After the meal, visit the Blue Well and the Santa Paula and Santa Bárbara waterfalls, the latter with a 76-meter waterfall. Return to Carolina in the late afternoon.
Day 3: CAROLINA - CHAPADA DAS MESAS NATIONAL PARK - CACHOEIRAS DO PRATA AND SÃO ROMÃO - CAROLINA
After breakfast, visit the São Romão and Prata waterfalls, located 83 km from Carolina, 30 km on asphalt on the BR-010 highway and 53 km on an off-road sandy road through the Chapada das Mesas National Park. The Farinha River, which marks the natural border between the municipalities of Carolina and Estreito, forms these two impressive waterfalls in the Cerrado Maranhão. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant (not included).
Cachoeira de São Romão has a 25-meter-high drop and a large swimming area on the banks of the Farinha River. It is the largest by volume of water in Chapada das Mesas and houses a cave where swallows nest in a preserved environment. Cachoeira da Prata, on the other hand, consists of three waterfalls of great scenic beauty, making it an ideal setting for contemplation and photography of nature. Return to Carolina in the late afternoon.
Day 4: CAROLINA - THREE CHARMS - CAROLINA
Breakfast at the hotel. After breakfast, departure for an exploration experience through Chapada das Mesas, contemplating its natural diversity and unique geological formations. After a short walk, the São José River is crossed, passing through a transition from riparian forest to savanna. The total route is approximately 7.5 km, crossing areas with a wide variety of fruit and medicinal species, with the possibility of sighting typical fauna, such as manatees, manatees, deer and birds such as seriema, macaws and parrots.
Following the savanna, the start of the moderate level rise at one of the “tables” in Chapada. At the top, there is a panoramic view of Chapadão and outstanding rock formations, such as the Eye of Orion and the Pedra do Surf, known for their scenic value and photographic potential. The walk continues to a spring of blue waters, a place suitable for bathing and rest, followed by a visit to Cachoeira do Tapuí, ideal for contemplation and relaxation.
Lunch stop not included in the Encontro das Águas, a rustic space typical of the region, where local dishes are served, such as Maria Isabel, breaded plantain, fried free-range eggs and cassava jam.
After the meal, in the middle of the afternoon, a flying boat ride along the Tocantins River begins, covering 22 km to Pedra Encantada, an isolated rock formation in the middle of the river. Along the way, it is possible to enjoy the landscape and the sunset over the plateaus of Chapada das Mesas. Return to Carolina in the late afternoon.
Day 5: CAROLINA - CACHOEIRA DO GARROTE - CACHOEIRA DA PORTEIRA - CACHOEIRA DO DODÔ - CACHOEIRA DA MANSINHA - CAROLINA Breakfast at the hotel.
In the morning, shared transfer to Talho, Dodô, Garrote and Porteira waterfalls. After 38 km on asphalt, continue along 4 km of dirt road to the vehicle's stopping point followed by a brief walk of approximately 50 meters along a light path through typical savanna vegetation to Cachoeira do Garrote, consisting of three waterfalls about 4 meters high.
Then, the route continues along another 6 km of dirt road to Cachoeira da Porteira, with a drop of approximately 6 meters and a natural pool ideal for swimming. Then, we walk about 50 meters to the Sonrisal Well, known for the effervescent effect caused by the oxygen brought by the fall of water. Stop for lunch (not included).
After the meal, visit Cachoeira do Dodô, where small dammed areas form natural pools, the main fall being located in a small canyon with a height of approximately 9 meters.
At the end of the day, return to Rodovia BR-010 and access to a sandy road, part of the route taken in a 4x4 vehicle, to Cachoeira da Mansinha, a place suitable for bathing and resting in crystal clear waters. Return to Carolina in the late afternoon.
Day 6: CAROLINA - COMPLEXO DA PEDRA CAÍDA - PORTAL DA CHAPADA - CAROLINA
After breakfast, departure in the morning, with a 35 km journey on asphalt along the BR-010 highway to the Pedra Caida Eco Resort. Upon admission, the complex is presented and a briefing about the scheduled activities takes place. The itinerary includes a visit to the Sanctuary, Cave and Chaplain waterfalls.
To access the Sanctuary Waterfall, follow an ecological wooden trail of approximately 600 meters, starting in the middle of the savanna and part between walls about 50 meters high. Lunch on site (not included).
Visit to Portal da Chapada das Mesas, with panoramic views of Morro do Chapéu and the plateaus. Return to Carolina in the late afternoon.
- Optional activities at the Pedra Caida Complex (not included in the package): Panic zip line, 1,400 meters long, cable car and visit to the pyramid.
Day 7: CAROLINA - IMPERATRIZ
Breakfast at the hotel and Check-out. Shared transfer from Carolina to Imperatriz Airport.
THIS ITINERARY INCLUDES:

- Regular transfers between hotel/airport/hotel;
- Mineral water and snacks available free of charge during tours;
- Entries and tickets for all the attractions mentioned;
- All tours and transfers will take place on a regular shared service, accompanied by a local guide and driver;
- Transfer to the city center, when scheduled, available only for guests staying at Pousada do Lajes, departing at 19:30 and returning at 21:30, except on the day of arrival;
