Lençóis Maranhenses: Barreirinhas and Atins

Day 1: São Luís - Barreirinhas - Lençóis Maranhenses National Park - Barreirinhas
Arrival at São Luís International Airport - Marechal Cunha Machado, reception and private transfer to the city of Barreirinhas, with approximately 4 hours of travel. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.

In the middle of the afternoon, drive to Lençóis Maranhenses National Park. The drive takes about 50 minutes to the access point to the lagoons. This tour offers an immersion in the Park, leaving in the afternoon to enjoy the sunset in a milder light. After a short walk, you arrive at the chosen place to contemplate the landscape.

During the evening, a table of cold cuts and local products will be served with a view of the Lençóis Maranhenses lagoons. During the night period, it is possible to enjoy the view of the starry sky and the galaxies with the naked eye.

Return to Barreirinhas.


Day 2: Barreirinhas - Lençóis Maranhenses National Park - Barreirinhas Breakfast at the hotel.
Departure on a private tour to visit two of the main postcards in Barreirinhas. The first stop will be at the Lagoa da Prata Circuit, a new group of lagoons with little visitors yet, where a short walk will take place to appreciate the landscape.

Then, drive to Regiane's local restaurant for lunch (not included), with regional cuisine options, such as fish, shrimp, beef, chicken and free-range chicken.

Then, free time to rest in hammocks. In the middle of the afternoon, exit towards Lagoa Bonita. After climbing the wooden staircase that gives access to the top of the dunes, a walk begins along the lagoon circuit, with stops to bathe in the region's lagoons. Return after sunset.


Day 3: Barreirinhas - Rio Preguiças - Brooms - Mandacaru - Atins Breakfast at the hotel and check-out.
Private transfer to the local port. The route takes a speedboat along the Preguiças River towards the coastal town of Atins, passing through a landscape composed of palm trees and mangroves along the banks.

The first stop will be in Vassouras (APA dos Pequenos Lençóis), where it is possible to taste fresh coconut water and observe the capuchin monkeys that inhabit the mangrove next to the freshwater beach (feeding them is not allowed). The tour continues upstream, passing through the villages of Espadarte, Morro do Boi and Moitas, small fishing communities surrounded by dunes and Pequenos Lençóis beaches, until reaching Mandacaru, where the lighthouse is located, from which there is a beautiful panoramic view of the region.

After the visit, the speedboat heads to the populated Bar da Hora, where lunch (not included) will be served, with seafood options such as shrimp, sururu, sarnambi, crab and oysters or free-range chicken. Free time for rest.

In the middle of the afternoon, the speedboat ride continues to the port of Atins, where a vehicle will be waiting for a private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.


Day 4: atins - Punta do Mangue - atins
After breakfast, departure to board a 4x4 vehicle to visit the Ponta do Mangue Lagoon Circuit, overlooking the region's lagoons, with stops for swimming and photos.

During the tour, visit the Carminha Restaurant, located in the village of Ponta do Mangue, on the banks of Lagoa do Mário, which offers a unique view of the place. After lunch, time to rest in the hammocks. Free afternoon.


Day 5: atins - Canto do Atins - Atins
Breakfast at the hotel and free time to enjoy Atins Beach.

In the afternoon, board a 4x4 car to visit the Canto do Atins Lagoon Circuit to discover the best lagoons of the season, with stops for swimming and photos. It will also be possible to visit Cachoeira do Bonzinho. During sunset, a picnic will be served for contemplation, and return to Atins after sunset. Free night.


6th day: atins - barreirinhas - São Luís
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Private transfer to the port of Atins for boarding a fast boat to Barreirinhas. Upon arrival, continue on a private ground transfer to São Luís, for approximately 4 hours.
