Skiing in Zermatt: Monte Rosa
Zermatt

DAY 1: ZERMATT Upon arrival
in Zermatt, accommodation for 5 nights at the Hotel Monte Rosa Zermatt, with breakfast.
The only cars that can circulate in the village of Zermatt are small electric cars, buses, taxis, and delivery vehicles. Located in the Alps, one of the main attractions is the Matterhorn mountain, which is 4,478 meters high, in a triangular shape. Skiing is practiced there every day of the year, with the largest ski slope in the world, with 25 kilometers.
Hotel Monte Rosa was the first hotel in the Matterhorn village, opened in 1839 by the local doctor. The only inn in the village at the time boasted three rooms and was occupied by the Seiler family in 1853. Over the years, the hotel has been expanded and renovated on several occasions. It has been updated to meet the current standards expected of an international hotel, but without losing the atmosphere and charm of a traditional Alpine hotel from the turn of the century.
The cozy hotel bar, Edward's Bar-Café, prepares cocktails with tasty snacks. The Belle Epoque restaurant has an extensive breakfast buffet and is the perfect place for special events. The Dine Around program offers guests the opportunity to enjoy dinner at 14 restaurants to choose from, including 1818 Eat & Drink, adjacent to Monte Rosa, a new restaurant and bar with a unique atmosphere.
DAY 2 to 5: ZERMATT Free
days for seasonal activities, such as hiking, cycling, mountain bike ride to the Gornergrat observation deck, visit to the Ricola herb garden (June to September); skiing and, for the more experienced, paragliding and heli-skiing.
DAY 6: ZERMATT
After breakfast, check out at the hotel.
