An itinerary discovering the incredible landscapes of Switzerland with a lot of charm and luxury, at your own pace.
DAY 1: ZURICH
Arrival in Zurich, pick-up of the rental car and drive to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 2: ZURICH
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
Suggested optional activities:
- Tour the main sights of Zurich.
- Journey along Höhenstrasse, with views of the Alps and Lake Zurich.
- Shopping in the famous luxury boutiques of Bahnhofstrasse.
DAY 3: ZURICH - LUCERNE - INTERLAKEN
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Drive about 120 km to Interlaken and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
The city is strategically situated between the lakes of Thun and Brienz. Its main attraction lies in the surrounding scenery, with peaks from the Jungfrau region, which are more than 4 thousand meters high.
Suggested optional activities:
- Visit Lucerne, the gateway to Central Switzerland. Known for the contrast between well-preserved houses and buildings with innovative design. Take the opportunity to walk around the city's main tourist attractions, such as Kapellbrucke, the oldest covered medieval bridge in Europe, dating back to the 14th century and 240 meters long. The bridge is located at the mouth of the Reuss River and connects the new part of the city with the historic center, allowing only pedestrians to cross.
- Visit Brienz to meet the local wood sculptors and their beautiful works.
DAY 4: INTERLAKEN - JUNGFRAUJOCH OR SCHILTHORN -
BERN Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Drive about 60 km to Bern, the capital of Switzerland, and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
Suggested optional activities:
- Tour of the Swiss Alps, considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, on the train to Jungfrajouch, with its 3,454 meters, is considered a UNESCO World Heritage Site, ideal for observing the unique landscapes covered with snow all year round, or, the Schilthorn mountain, where several scenes from the movie “007 - At His Majesty's Service” were recorded.
DAY 5: BERNE - GRUYÈRES - MONTREUX
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Drive about 100 km to the charming city of Montreux. Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
Suggested optional activities:
- Trip to Gruyeres, a charming medieval city famous for Gruyère cheese. Its cobblestone streets, Gruyères Castle and the Maison du Gruyère, where you can see the cheese being produced, make the visit an authentic and delicious experience.
- Visit the village of Broc, with the possibility of visiting Maison Cailler, which produces one of the most famous chocolates.
- Visit Chillon Castle, which is one of the best preserved castles in Switzerland and one of the most visited in the country.
DAY 6: MONTREUX - LAUSANNE - GENEVA
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Drive about 95 km to Geneva, renowned for having the best quality of life in the world. Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
Suggested optional activities:
- Passage along the shores of Lake Geneva with breathtaking landscapes of the Lavaux vineyards, declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site.
- Tour of the city of Lausanne, which stands out for its breathtaking landscape of the Savoyard Alps.
- In Geneva, stop by the city's main tourist attractions, such as parks, the UN's European headquarters, and Rue du Rhône, home to exclusive and luxurious boutiques.
DAY 7: GENEVA - TASCH - ZERMATT
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Drive about 230 km to Tasch, where the car will be returned.
Continue the train journey to Zermatt, one of the most famous villages in the Swiss Alps, located at the foot of the Matterhorn mountain.
Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
Note: Cars are not allowed in the city of Zermatt.
DAY 8: ZERMATT - GORNERGRAT - LUGANO
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Free time to explore the panoramic landscapes of the Gornergrat, at 3,089 meters above sea level.
Board the train back to Tasch and pick up the rental car. Drive about 220 km to Lugano, in the Ticino region, just 30 km from Como, Italy.
Arrival and possibility to walk along the city's promenade, along the shores of Lake Lugano and the alleys of the
city Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 9: LUGANO - ZURICH
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Free morning for independent activities.
In the afternoon, drive to Zurich airport and return the rental car. Along the way, you can stop in Bellinzona, famous for its impressive medieval castles.
