Train Trip through the Swiss Mountains
Zurich, Interlaken, Montreux, Zermatt, St. Moritz, Lugano, Lucerne
An ideal trip to discover Switzerland's enchanting panoramic trains!
DAY 1: ZURICH
Arrival in Zurich and assistance with the transfer to the hotel. Accommodation in Zurich for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 2: ZURICH
After breakfast at the hotel, regular city tour of Zurich, considered the city with the best quality of life. Visit the historic city center, the clock of St. Peter's Church (Peterskirche), the famous Bahnhofstrasse street, the Limmatquai and the Germial Houses.
Then continue to Adliswil to board the Felsenegg cable car, which offers panoramic views of the city and the white peaks of the Alps.
At the end of the tour, board a ferry to Zurich. Arrival and return by bus to the lake shore along the “Golden Coast”.
DAY 3: ZURICH - INTERLAKEN
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. In the afternoon, self-presentation at the Zurich train station to travel to the city of Interlaken, strategically located between the lakes of Thun and Brienz. Opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscapes of the imposing Eiger, Monch and Jungfrau mountains.
Accommodation in Interlaken for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 4: INTERLAKEN - JUNGFRAUJOCH - INTERLAKEN
After breakfast at the hotel, tour the Jungfraujoch mountain, a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Known as the top of Europe, home to the highest train station in Europe, at 3,454 meters above sea level, the visit allows you to admire the beauty of the glaciers and explore the Ice Palace on the mountain top.
DAY 5: INTERLAKEN - ZWEISIMMEN - MONTREUX
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, transfer on your own to the train station for boarding to Zweisimmen. Transfer on the Golden Pass Line to Montreux. Opportunity to enjoy the beautiful landscapes while traveling on a panoramic train.
Arrival in Montreux and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 6: MONTREUX - ZERMATT
In the morning, after breakfast and check-out at the hotel, transfer at the traveler's expense to the station. Travel to Visp and transfer to the train bound for Zermatt. Located at the foot of the Matterhorn mountain, Zermatt maintains its original charm and characteristic, as cars are not allowed in the city.
Accommodation in Zermatt for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 7: ZERMATT - ST. MORITZ
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, board the famous Glacier Express. Opportunity to observe the panoramic view of the romantic landscapes of the Swiss Alps while traveling comfortably to St. Moritz.
Arrival to the charming village of St. Moritz, surrounded by the Swiss Alps. Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
8TH DAY: ST. MORITZ - TIRANO - LUGANO
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Transfer on your own to the train station. Stop in Tirano, known for its baroque sanctuary and noble palaces from the 16th to 18th centuries.
Continuation of the trip on the Bernina Express bus to Lugano, famous for its beautiful landscapes, abundant water, dry and sunny climate, mountains and hills.
Accommodation in Lugano for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 9: LUGANO - FLUELEN - LUCERNE Breakfast and check-out at
the hotel. Board the Gotthard Panorama Express panoramic train bound for Fluelen, a small and charming village. Steamboat ride that takes you to Lucerne, crossing the beautiful landscape of Lake Lucerne.
With the Rigi and Pilatus mountains and the Alps as a backdrop, Lucerne is one of the most visited tourist destinations in Switzerland. The old city has the oldest covered bridges in Europe, as well as cobblestone streets, baroque churches, and historic houses.
Accommodation in Lucerne for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 10: LUCERNE
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
DAY 11: LUCERNE - ZURICH Breakfast and
check-out at the hotel. Transfer on your own to Lucerne train station for boarding the train to Zurich. The trip ends at the train station or at Zurich airport.
