Amazon Ecopark Jungle Lodge

Manaus

Just a few minutes from Manaus, amidst creeks, trails and lush native forest, the Amazon EcoPark Jungle Lodge offers an unforgettable immersion in the heart of the world's largest rainforest.

Day 1: MANAUS - TARUMÃ
Arrival at Manaus - Eduardo Gomes International Airport, reception and regular transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 4 nights, with full board.

The land journey takes approximately 15 minutes and may vary depending on weather conditions. Then, board a speedboat for a pleasant 40-minute river ride through the Rio Negro and its tributary, the Tarumã River, to the Amazon EcoPark Jungle Lodge.

Day 2 to 4: TARUMÃ
Breakfast at the hotel. Free days to enjoy the activities offered by the lodge:

  • Encontro da Águas: The Encontro das Águas is a natural phenomenon in Manaus, where the Negro and Solimões rivers flow side by side without mixing for several kilometers. The boat ride allows you to contemplate the contrast of the waters, learn interesting facts about the phenomenon and appreciate the Amazonian landscape. A unique experience that reveals the grandeur of the region's rivers.
  • Ecological walk: Guided trail through the Ecopark's virgin forest, with observation of orchids, centuries-old trees and local fauna. Along the way, the guides teach survival techniques, identification of medicinal plants and edible fruits. Duration: 1 to 3 hours;
  • Monkey Forest: Light walk through trails in the middle of the forest, with the possibility of spotting birds, monkeys, sloths and other animals. Guides help identify sounds and traces, making the experience educational and immersive;
  • Visit to the Caboclo House: Cultural visit to a traditional riverside house, with demonstrations of artisanal flour production, rubber smoking and the use of medicinal herbs. An immersion in the simple and resilient life of forest residents;
  • Traditional Fishing: Recreational activity carried out on creeks or floats, using handmade rods. With luck, it is possible to fish for species such as piranhas. Ideal for experiencing riverside culture. Duration: about 1 hour;
  • Night Focus: Canoe ride after dark to observe the forest under starlight. With luck, it is possible to spot alligators, capybaras, and other species. A silent moment, guided by the natural symphony of the Amazônia.

Suggested optional tours for an additional night:

  • Janauari Ecological Park: Trip carried out on flying speedboats through a region of about 9 thousand hectares, surrounded by creeks and igapots. The itinerary includes a visit to a floating boat, where it is possible to observe pirarucus and a suckuri, in addition to selling beverages and handicrafts. The navigation continues through the “holes” of the flooded forest to the Rio Negro, returning to the hotel. Note: during the drought (October and November) the journey through the holes is not carried out. Duration: about 1 hour of tour + 1 hour of return to the hotel.
  • Visit the indigenous community - CIPIÁ - Dessana Tukana ethnic group: Located on the right bank of the Rio Negro, about an hour away by flying speedboat, the community preserves its customs and traditions. Upon arrival, visitors discover the essence of indigenous rituals, with their own dances, songs and instruments, in addition to having the opportunity to participate as a form of integration. Cooking, tourism, and the sale of handicrafts - such as necklaces, bracelets, bows, arrows, and baskets - are the main sources of income. Duration: approximately 3 hours (including travel and stay).
  • Observe Pink Botos in the Alto Rio Negro: Departure by flying speedboat across the Rio Negro to a floating boat authorized by IBAMA, equipped with bathrooms and an area for changing clothes. In small groups, visitors have the opportunity to interact for a few minutes with the pink dolphins on submerged platforms, always accompanied by local instructors. A typical Amazonian species, porpoises live in a natural environment, reaching up to 3 meters in length and weighing more than 160 kg. Duration: about 3 hours (including travel and stay).
  • Vila Paraíso Seringal Museum: Departure by flying speedboat across the Rio Negro to the Seringal Museum, which portrays the way of life of rubber tappers at the end of the 19th century and the beginning of the 20th century. The space, originally built as the setting for a film about the Rubber Cycle, reproduces the old Vila Humaitá of the Madeira River and allows you to discover structures such as the storage shed, the rubber tapir, the rubber tapir and the cemetery. The place also has trails and native vegetation. Duration: about 2h30 (including travel and stay).
