The Wonders of China

Beijing, Xian, Chengdu, Shanghai

An exclusive and special package: in addition to combining the best of Chinese culture and history, it includes the city of Chengdu and its famous pandas.

DAY 1: BEIJING
Arrival in Beijing, reception and private transfer to the hotel for accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 2: BEIJING
After breakfast at the hotel, a private tour of the Lamas Temple, also known as Yonghegong, is considered the most important Tibetan Buddhist temple that exists outside of Tibet, in addition to being one of the most popular religious centers in Beijing.

Then stop by the Beijing Olympic Village, with a photo stop at the Bird's Nest (National Stadium) and the Water Cube (National Swimming Center). Stop for lunch (included, without drinks).

Continuation on Mutianyu's path to the largest postcard in China: the Great Wall, an inspiring achievement, especially considering its construction on rugged terrain and steep mountains. The ascent will be by cable car and the return can be done by cable car or the famous Wall of China slide.


DAY 3: BEIJING
Breakfast at the hotel. Private tour of the main tourist attractions in Beijing, such as Tian An Men Square, one of the largest public squares in the world and home to the Great Hall of the People and the Mausoleum of Mao Zedong.

Then, visit the Imperial Palace, known as “The Forbidden City”, a large complex of traditional Chinese architecture with 980 buildings, housing a vast collection of historical and cultural artifacts. It was also the imperial residence of the Chinese emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasty for nearly 500 years.

Finally, visit the Temple of Heaven, where the emperors of the Ming and Qing dynasties offered sacrifices and asked for good harvests. It is famous for its Hall of Prayer for the Good Harvest, a three-story round wooden building without a single nail in its construction.


DAY 4: BEIJING
After breakfast at the hotel, private tour of the Summer Palace, a palace and garden complex on the shores of Lake Kunming. Opportunity to take a Dragon Boat ride across the river*.

*Note: The boat tour cannot be taken in winter when the lake is frozen or if there are strong winds.

After lunch (not included), visit the Silk Market with free time for shopping.


DAY 5: BEIJING/XIAN
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private airport transfer for boarding a flight to Xian, the former capital of China. With over 3,000 years of existence, it is the only walled capital and the starting point of the famous Silk Road.

Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 6: XIAN
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Terracotta Warrior Museum, which houses more than 8,000 life-size figures representing a large army of warriors, horses, and cars that guarded the tomb of Emperor Qin. Stop for lunch at a local restaurant (included, no drinks).

After lunch, visit the City Wall and the Muslim Quarter, which houses the Xian Grand Mosque, one of the oldest and most well-preserved mosques in the country, as well as a variety of stores and markets selling Muslim products and halal cuisine.


DAY 7: XIAN - CHENGDU
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to the train station for boarding to Chengdu, a city in southwestern China and the capital of Sichuan province.

Arrival and accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 8: CHENGDU
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Chengdu Panda Bear Breeding Center, the only one in the world located in a metropolitan area.

Then visit Qingyang Palace, the oldest and largest in Chengdu, one of the most famous Taoist places in China. Continue to one of the city's traditional tea houses to learn more about the daily lives of the locals and to Kuan Zhai Xiang Zi, one of Chengdu's historical, cultural and commercial reserves.


DAY 9: CHENGDU/SHANGHAI
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel, private transfer to the airport for boarding to Shanghai, a metropolis with over 16 million inhabitants and the largest port and commercial center in China.

Arrival, reception and private transfer to the hotel for accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 10: SHANGHAI
After breakfast at the hotel, visit the Longhua Temple, the oldest temple in the city and the best example of Buddhist architecture, over 1,000 years old, and the Yuyuan Garden, a magnificent garden built in 1557 by a city official named Yu.

Then, visit the Bund, where you can enjoy a wonderful view of the Huangpu River, and Xintiandi, an area with buildings built in the Shikumen style - a combination of Western and Chinese elements. Some houses currently serve as bookstores, cafés, restaurants, and malls.


DAY 11: SHANGHAI
Breakfast at the hotel and visit to the Shanghai Museum, located in the People's Square, considered to be the best museum in China and the Tianzifang area, also known as Taikang Lu, a residential complex where you can contemplate the architecture of old Shanghai.

Stop for lunch at a local restaurant (included, without drinks) and then visit the Shanghai Tower, the second tallest building in the world, with a 580-meter-high tower.

Finally, cruise along the Huangpu River.


DAY 12: SHANGHAI - SUZHOU - SHANGHAI
After breakfast at the hotel, drive to Suzhou, one of the most famous cities in China, and visit Tiger Hill. Stroll along the Pingjiang Road, parallel to the Pingjiang River. This area of Suzhou has always been a cultural center with bookstores, tea houses, opera houses and others, in addition to having typical houses, almost 800 years old, of ancient Suzhou.

Finally, a boat ride to the Lion Grove Garden, recognized as a UNESCO World Heritage Site, is famous for the large and labyrinthine taihu rock cave at its center.

After the tour, return to the hotel in Shanghai.


DAY 13: SHANGHAI
Breakfast at the hotel and transfer to the airport.
