Muscat, Al Hamra
Oman, a mountainous country surrounded by sand and water. Discover natural wonders on this 6-day itinerary.
DAY 1: MUSCAT
Arrival, reception by the local representative and private transfer to the hotel in approximately 30 minutes.
Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 2: MUSCAT Free
day for independent activities.

- Walk to Qurum Coniche, a beach region in the heart of Muscat considered the busiest in Muscat, close to shopping malls and restaurants.
DAY 3: MUSCAT - JABAL SHAMS - GRAND CANYON - AL HAMRA
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Full-day tour with English-speaking guide to Jabal Shams, journey of about 2 hours (197 km).
At 3,009 meters high, Jabal Shams is the highest mountain in the country and is known for having breathtaking views because of its neighborhood with Wadi Ghul, also known as the Grand Canyon of Arabia.
Then walk along the W6 route, also known as the “balcony walk”. The route offers impressive mountain views on one side and a precipice on the other. Walk of approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes (4 km) to the abandoned village of Al Sab.
Finally, stroll the narrow streets of the old Al Hamra village to discover its charming abandoned Yemeni-style mud brick houses.
Arrival and check-in at the hotel. Accommodation for 1 night, with full board.
DAY 4: AL HAMRA - MISFATH - NIZWA - MUSCAT
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, full-day tour with a trip of about 30 minutes (58 km) to Misfath.
Visit the traditional village of Misfath to discover its alleys, clay buildings and agricultural terraces that surround the mountain.
Then drive to Nizwa for about 1 hour (58 km). Nizwa is surrounded by lush palm oases. The city offers a great mix of history and culture, since it was once the capital of Oman and they maintain their authenticity. Nizwa is also home to beautiful, traditional markets, known as “souks”.
After the tour, drive about 1 hour (58 km) to Muscat. Arrival at the hotel and check-in. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 5: MUSCAT Free
day for independent activities.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- In the afternoon, boat ride on a traditional wooden boat, Dhow Cruise, to enjoy the sunset over the Gulf Sea.
DAY 6: MUSCAT
After breakfast at the hotel and check-out, private transfer to the airport.
