Funchal
The enchanting “Pearl of the Atlantic” is an inviting destination year-round, with its paradisiacal beaches and beautiful natural landscapes.
DAY 1: SANTA CRUZ - FUNCHAL
Arrival at Madeira airport and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 4 nights, with breakfast.
In the afternoon, gastronomic walk with a local guide to explore the harmony between the island's culture, history, and flavors.
Day 2: FUNCHAL - Porto Moniz - São Vicente - Funchal
Breakfast at the hotel and departure for a private full-day tour of the southwest of the island to Porto Moniz, a charming city known for its natural pools formed by the region's volcanic activity. Lunch stop at a local restaurant (no drinks).
Continuation to São Vicente. Passage through the Laurissilva forest and the Encumeado viewpoint, from where it is possible to contemplate, on clear days, the north and south coasts of the island at the same time.
Return to the hotel in Funchal.
DAY 3: FUNCHAL - Santana - Funchal
After breakfast at the hotel, departure for a private full-day tour with lunch (without drinks). Visit to Pico de Areeiro, the third highest point on the island of Madeira, with an altitude of 1818 meters, and the Ribeiro Frio Natural Park.
Continue to Santana, to visit the typical straw houses and observe the view from the Portela viewpoint.
Finally, visit Ponta de São Lourenço, with its panoramic views.
Day 4: FUNCHAL
After breakfast at the hotel, private half-day city tour. Visit the Mercado dos Lavradores, a characteristic place where you can find a variety of fruits and flowers, in an environment full of aromas and colors.
Then, it is possible to take the cable car to Monte to visit the botanical gardens and the famous Church of Our Lady of the Mount.
On the way back to the hotel in Funchal, stop at one of the oldest vineyards in the city. Opportunity to taste the famous Madeira Wine.
Day 5: FUNCHAL - Santa Cruz
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Private airport transfer.
