Fly and drive itinerary through New Zealand, to enjoy the best of New Zealand landscapes with total freedom.
DAY 1: AUCKLAND
Arrival in Auckland, the largest city in the country, known as the “city of sails” due to the number of inhabitants who own boats and who love to sail.
Private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Guided tour to discover the practice of native sports at the All Blacks Experience;
- Visit the Sky Tower for panoramic views of the city.
- Guided tour of the main highlights of the Auckland Museum, which depicts the history of the Maori people.
DAY 2: AUCKLAND
After breakfast, show up on your own at the Auckland port to board the ferry to Waiheke Island. Guided tour of the 3 main wineries, with wine tasting and lunch (glass of beer or wine included). A great opportunity to try the variety of wines while learning about the island's history, geography, people, and culture with a local guide.
DAY 3: AUCKLAND - TAUPO (278 KM)
After checking out at the hotel, pick up the intermediate automatic car at the store in the city center and drive on your own to Taupo.

Located in the heart of New Zealand's North Island, Taupo is a city that offers a combination of natural beauty and vibrant culture. Its main highlights are Lake Taupo and the Huka waterfall.
DAY 4: TAUPO Free
day for tours and activities in the region.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Bungy jump over the Waikato River on a 47-meter drop.
- Jet boat adventure (ultra-fast boat), with extreme maneuvers along the Waikato River.
- Scenic flight lasting approximately 30 minutes to explore the panoramic landscapes of Taupo's mountains, lakes, and waterfalls.
DAY 5: TAUPO - NAPIER (141 KM)
Check-out at the hotel and drive on your own to Napier. The landscape between Taupo and Napier is breathtaking! Along the way it is possible to see large fields and native animals. Upon arrival in Napier, the charm lies in the most complete collection of Art Deco buildings in the world.
Presentation at the hotel and accommodation for 1 night, with a meal plan according to the chosen hotel.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- In the afternoon, guided walk lasting approximately 1 hour and 30 minutes, through Napier's Art Deco Quarter, including visits to the interiors of some of the most impressive examples of this architectural style in the city.
- Private tour in a vintage car in the city of Napier. At the end of the tour it is possible to plant a native New Zealand tree.
DAY 6: NAPIER - WELLINGTON (360 KM)
Early in the morning, check out at the hotel and drive on your own to Wellington. Check-in at the hotel for accommodation for 1 night.
Wellington is the seat of New Zealand's government and is considered the country's political and administrative center. The city is home to the New Zealand Parliament, government offices, and many foreign embassies. The city is home to a thriving art scene and is famous for its art galleries, theaters, museums, and cultural festivals.
DAY 7: WELLINGTON/CHRISTCHURCH - lake pukaki (285 km) or Lindis pass (345 KM)
Check-out at the hotel and return the car at Wellington airport. Board the flight (not included) to Christchurch. Pick up another vehicle at the Christchurch airport store and head towards Lake Pukaki or Linds Pass.
Accommodation for 2 nights in the Lake Pukaki or Linds Pass region.
DAY 8: LAKE PUKAKI OR LINDIS PASS Free
day for independent activities.
DAY 9: LAKE PUKAKI OR LINDIS PASS - Queenstown (220 KM OR 137 KM)
After checking out at the hotel, continue driving to Queenstown. Accommodation for 1 night.
DAY 10: QUEENSTOWN - TE ANAU (170 KM)
Check-out at the hotel and drive to Te Anau. It is recommended to make stops for short walks on the way from Queenstown to Te Anau.
Accommodation for 1 night.
Te Anau, is an ideal retreat for nature lovers and outdoor enthusiasts. The city also serves as an access point to the famous Milford Sound.
Optional activity suggestion (not included):
- Milford Sound cruise that passes over rugged cliffs covered by native forests, with powerful waterfalls that fall into the fjord.
DAY 11: TE ANAU - QUEENSTOWN (170 KM)
Check-out at the hotel and drive on your own to the last destination: Queenstown Presentation at the hotel and accommodation for 3 nights.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Regular tour of the Otago region with wine tasting and lunch (selected drinks);
- Go to Onsen Hot Pools, a spa with cedar hot tubs and views of the Shotover River Gorge, and 1-hour access to a hot tub, with capacity for up to 4 people, and complimentary snacks during the rejuvenating bath.
12th and 13th DAY: QUEENSTOWN Free
days for independent activities.
DAY 14: QUEENSTOWN
Return the vehicle at the Queenstown Airport store.
