New Zealand First Impressions

DAY 1: AUCKLAND
Reception at the airport, private transfer to the hotel and accommodation for 4 nights.

Auckland is situated between 52 dormant volcanic cones and between two harbours, Waitemata and Manukau. Known as the City of Candles, it is the largest and busiest city in New Zealand.


DAY 2: AUCKLAND
Presentation on behalf of the passenger at the ferry terminal for boarding to Waiheke Island. Guided tour of 3 Waiheke wineries, with wine tasting. A great opportunity to try the variety of wines while learning about the island's history, geography, people, and culture with a local guide.

Stop for lunch, including a glass of wine or Waiheke beer. At the end of the tour, transfer to the terminal to board the ferry and return to Auckland.


DAY 3: AUCKLAND - HOBBITON - WAITOMO - AUCKLAND Full day
tour to discover Hobbiton, where the Hobbit County scenes were filmed in The Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit movies. You can see the 44 houses, the bridge, the Party Tree where the Hobbits party, and the famous bar The Green Dragon Inn, to enjoy a complimentary beer or cider.

Lunch at the Party Marquee (without drinks) including a discount voucher (amount on request) to be used at the Hobbiton gift shop.

Continuation of the tour to Waitomo, where you will take a tour of one of the caves in the region. The highlight is the boat ride inside the cave, where, when looking up, you can see the luminous fireflies that form the Glowworm Cave and give the impression of being under a starry sky.

Return to Auckland.


DAY 4: AUCKLAND Free
day for independent activities.

Suggested optional activities (not included):

• Visit the All Blacks Experience, an immersive and interactive space about New Zealand rugby history. The guided tour lasts approximately 45 minutes.
• Visit the Sky Tower, which, at 328 meters, is the tallest artificial structure in New Zealand. From the top, there is a panoramic view of up to 80 km in all directions.
• Regular or private half-day city tour of Auckland, passing through Queen Street, the University of Auckland, the oldest park in the city called Domain, the elegant Ponsonby neighborhood, and the Auckland Harbour Bridge, among other points.
• Regular or private full-day tour to Coromandel. Visit Cathedral Cove, a beach whose highlight is a passage through the rock between two strips of sand and which recalls the shape of a cathedral and Hot Water Beach. It includes a lunch (without drinks). This activity is recommended during summer.

DAY 5: AUCKLAND/QUEENSTOWN
Check-out from the hotel in Auckland and transfer from the hotel to the airport and departure to Queenstown. Upon arrival, private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 4 nights.


DAY 6: QUEENSTOWN - MILFORD SOUND - QUEENTOWN Milford Sound full-day
tour. Tour along the shore of Lake Wakatipu and the rural region of Te Anau, with lunch (without drinks) lunch box style. After a break, continue along the Alpine route of the Milford Highway. Upon arrival, board a cruise to the fjords region with an explanatory audio guide. Passage through waterfalls, forests, and mountains, especially Mitre Peak and Pembroke Glacier, in addition to marine life, including seals, dolphins, and penguins.

Return to Queenstown by bus.

Note: This tour depends on weather conditions. The return to Queenstown can be taken by plane (optional and not included) to save time and be less tiring.


DAY 7: QUEENSTOWN Free
day for independent activities.

Suggested optional activities (not included):

• Balloon flight near Queenstown, between the Remarkables and Coronet Peak mountain ranges, with panoramic views of the region's mountains and lakes.
• Private half-day tour to Gibbston Valley, including tasting and visiting 3 or 4 wineries. In addition to learning about the pioneers of the wine industry in the region, the tour explores the history of gold mining in New Zealand's South Island.
• Fly over Glenorchy and Paradise Valley by plane with views of the mountains and forest along the Lake Wakatipu shoreline.
• Visit the filming locations of the Lord of the Rings movies, in settings such as Isengard, Lothlorien, Fanghorn Forest, the Battle of Amon Hen, among other scenarios.

DAY 8: QUEENSTOWN
Transfer by bus to the Shotover River for a typical New Zealand tour, which allows navigation on the shallow rivers of Canterbury. Stroll through narrow river gorges, next to rugged rocks, gliding across the surface of the water channels that meander the braided rivers.

In the evening, presentation on account at the Skyline Gondola for an international buffet dinner, with panoramic views of the city.


DAY 9: QUEENSTOWN
At a scheduled time, transfer to Queenstown airport.
