Peru: Culture & Gastronomy

DAY 1: LIMA
Arrival in Lima and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 2: LIMA Half-day private
tour, with a guide in Portuguese or Spanish (subject to availability and confirmation) to the main historical and cultural sights of Lima.

Visit to the Santo Domingo Convent, a religious and architectural complex linked to the presence of the Dominican Order in the city.

Then, stop at La Tapada, a coffee shop and candy store located in the Historic Center of Lima, to taste a drink. The space presents a proposal inspired by the flavors and traditions of ancient Lima.

Finally, visit the Larco Museum, located in an 18th century mansion. The museum brings together an archaeological collection composed of pieces from different pre-Columbian cultures, providing knowledge of aspects of the history and cultural development of ancient Peru.

Return to the hotel and free afternoon for independent activities.

Peru Week Special Benefit:

• Dinner accompanied by a show of traditional Peruvian dances at DanSA (Dances and Flavors of Peru), which brings together music, typical costumes and choreography inspired by the different regions of the country. An experience that combines gastronomy and culture, revealing the diversity of Peruvian traditions through their artistic manifestations. It includes selected alcoholic and non-alcoholic beverages.

DAY 3: LIMA
Breakfast at the hotel and private full-day tour, with a guide in Portuguese or Spanish (subject to availability and confirmation), with visits and stops at different parts of Lima, focused on the city's gastronomic and cultural experiences.

The tour begins at the Surquillo Market, a traditional market that brings together fruits, local ingredients, fresh products and other items used in Peruvian cuisine.

Then, lunch (without drinks) at Huarike, with Peruvian cuisine, and a walk through the Barranco neighborhood, passing through its streets and main points of interest. This neighborhood is known for its historic architecture, streets with traditional buildings, cultural spaces and art galleries.

Stop at Ciclos Café for coffee and then dessert tasting at a spot in Kennedy Park.

Return to the hotel.


DAY 4: LIMA/AREQUIPA
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Private transfer to Lima airport for boarding a flight (not included) to Arequipa.

Arrival in Arequipa and private transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 5: AREQUIPA
Breakfast at the hotel and private half-day tour, with a guide in Portuguese or Spanish (subject to availability and confirmation) to the main points of the city of Arequipa.

Visit the colonial neighborhood of San Lázaro, the Plaza de Armas, the Municipal Palace, the Cathedral, the Church of the Society of Jesus, from the 17th century, and the Church of San Francisco, from the 16th century.

Then, visit the Convent of Santa Catalina, founded in 1579 as a cloistered convent and considered one of the most important examples of colonial architecture and art in America. Accompanied by the guide, travelers tour its buildings, cloisters and historic spaces, discovering part of the history and daily life of the nuns who lived there.

Continue through the colonial neighborhoods of Yanahuara, known for their Andalusian-influenced buildings and traditional viewpoint, and Carmen Alto, from where you can enjoy beautiful landscapes of the agricultural terraces and the surroundings of Arequipa.

Free afternoon for independent activities.


DAY 6: AREQUIPA - COLCA
Departure from Arequipa to the Colca Valley, touring the Andean landscapes and the Salinas and Aguada Blanca National Reserve, natural habitat of vicunas.

Along the way, there will be stops at strategic points for contemplation of the landscape and photographic records.

Arrival at the hotel and free time to rest and acclimatize to the altitude. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.


DAY 7: COLCA
Breakfast at the hotel and private half-day tour, with a guide in Portuguese or Spanish (subject to availability and confirmation), dedicated to the Natural Viewpoints and the Pinchollo Geyser.

Departure in the early hours of the morning to Cruz del Cóndor, one of the main viewpoints of the Colca Canyon, a place known for the presence of Andean condors flying over the canyon.

Continue to Cruz del Cura, a viewpoint with views of the valley, followed by a passage through Cabanaconde, a traditional village in the region, surrounded by old agricultural terraces.

Visit to the Pinchollo Geyser, a geothermal formation associated with the region's volcanic activity, where thermal waters emerge from underground.

Return to the hotel and free afternoon for independent activities.


DAY 8: COLCA - SIBAYO - AREQUIPA
Breakfast at the hotel and private tour, with a guide in Portuguese or Spanish (subject to availability and confirmation) to Sibayo, a town known for its stone buildings and for the cultural traditions preserved by the community.

On site, choose ONE from two experiences:

• Trek with lamas through the village: guided tour through the streets of Sibayo, accompanied by llama, with information about the history and customs of the community.
• Visit to the organic garden and weaving demonstration: contact with Andean crops and presentation of the traditional weaving techniques used by the community.

On the way back to Arequipa, a takeaway snack (with selected beverage) is included.

Accommodation for 1 night in Arequipa, with breakfast.


DAY 9: AREQUIPA
After breakfast, private transfer to Arequipa airport.
