Destination New Zeland

Natural and diverse beauties, varied activities and friendly and welcoming faces make the experience of an unforgettable trip to New Zealand certain.

Discover New Zealand

Few places in the world have as diverse a nature as New Zealand. They are snow-capped mountains, stunning beaches, crystal blue rivers and lakes, clean and organized cities, impressive hydrothermal areas, and other attractions.

From lakes to ice-filled mountains to beaches. New Zealand has an unparalleled natural wealth to be explored and admired. Have you ever imagined taking a road trip to explore remote places in such a cultural and inspiring country? If there is a way to nourish your mind with the most beautiful things you can find on a trip, New Zealand certainly has to offer!

An independent country with a population of approximately 4 million people, the majority of whom are of European or Asian origin. About 15% of the population is comprised of the country's natives, the Maoris. New Zealanders are known for being friendly and welcoming to international visitors. In addition to being a country of great cultural diversity, New Zealand is known worldwide as the capital of extreme sports. Beaches, ski resorts, spectacular mountains, volcanoes, lakes, glaciers, forests and plains: wherever you are, the possibilities to venture out are endless. Those looking for a more relaxed destination will also be well served: intriguing arts, architecture, history, culture, gastronomy, and therapeutic treatments abound.

Located in the Pacific Ocean, New Zealand consists of two main islands - the North Island and the South Island - in addition to other smaller ones.

Touristic spots

North Island

New Zealand's North Island serves as a gateway to this picturesque and exciting country, home to the capital Wellington. This is a destination to be considered from every perspective: from the magnificent Waitemata Bay surrounding Auckland to the charming seaside towns scattered across the Bay of Islands and Bay of Plenty; from the bottom of the Coromandel Caves with their brilliant fireflies to the bubbling sulphurous mud baths of Rotorua.

The North Island landscape ranges from lush rainforests, inviting a hike, to the marinas of charming coastal villages, with something for every visitor regardless of personal interest. There is a rich history and heritage to be discovered in this region, such as the arrival of the first Maori canoes and the signing of the Treaty of Waitangi. There's also abundant wildlife waiting to be explored, including the rare kiwi, white herons, seals, and penguin colonies. For wine enthusiasts, the North Island offers visits to wineries producing Pinot Noirs, Cabernets and Merlots.

South Island

It is on New Zealand's South Island that visitors encounter some of the most rugged landscapes and vigorous experiences in the country. From mountainous Alpine shores to charming villages; from adrenaline-charged adventure to world-renowned wine tasting, South Island offers a diverse range of fun for any traveler.

At over 3,700 meters high, Mt. Cook is the highest peak in the country and, together with twenty-seven other peaks above 3,000 meters, constitutes New Zealand's famous Southern Alps, forming a panoramic backbone along the South Island.

Best time to go to New Zealand

Because of the warmer temperatures, which average 25°C, summer is the most popular season for those who wish to travel around New Zealand. Even so, in winter it is possible to enjoy the ski season with temperatures close to zero degrees in the South Island.

The four seasons are very remarkable in the country, and the right time to plan the trip depends on the traveler's type of itinerary. The change of the color of the leaves of the trees in autumn provides beautiful scenery all over the country; and the pleasant spring allows you to take advantage of the promises of summer charm without the rigor of winter temperatures.
