Romance in Turkey with Bodrum

A beautiful itinerary through Turkey, combining Istanbul, iconic Cappadocia, historic Izmir and enchanting Bodrum.
DAY 1: ISTANBUL
Arrival in Istanbul, reception and private transfer to the hotel for accommodation for 2 nights with breakfast.
DAY 2: ISTANBUL
After breakfast, full-day tour with a visit to Topkaki Palace (not including the harem), residence of the Ottoman Sultans between 1453-1852 and the Hippodrome.
After lunch on your own, visit Haghia Sophia, a church built in the 6th century Byzantine capital, converted into a mosque by the Ottomans and now a museum and one of the greatest architectural wonders in the world.
Finally, visit the Grand Bazaar, the largest and oldest covered market in the world with more than 60 streets.
DAY 3: ISTANBUL/KAYSERI OR NEVSehir - CAPPADOCIA Breakfast and check-out at the hotel.
Half-day tour with regular Bosphorus cruise.
Free time for lunch and return to the Grand Bazaar.
In the late afternoon, private transfer to the airport and board a flight to Kayseri or Nevsehir.
Upon arrival private transfer to the hotel in Cappadocia and accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 4: CAPPADOCIA
Breakfast at the hotel. Private tour to the Goreme open-air museum, a historic region of Turkey, located among rock formations, and which was established during the Roman period.
Continuation of the trip to the city of Avanos, renowned for its high-quality ceramics, to the Pasabag Valley, known as the valley of the monks, and to the Red Valley, with a brief pottery workshop.
Suggested optional activities (not included):
- Balloon ride just before, before breakfast: a unique experience flying over volcanic valleys and caves as the day dawns;
- Cooking class at an old Greek mansion in Cappadocia;
- Picnic with three wine tastings and appetizers.
DAY 5: CAPPADOCIA - KAYSERI OR NevSehir/IZMIR - Ephesus - IZMIR
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, private transfer to the airport and board a flight to Izmir. Upon arrival, transfer to the Greco-Roman archaeological site in Ephesus. Visit the ongoing excavations of the Greco-Roman palaces, the “Yamac Elite Antiquity Houses” (Terraço Casas), with their mosaics and frescoes being restored by archaeologists.
Still in Ephesus, visit the House of the Virgin Mary, a small chapel believed to be the last house of the Virgin Mary.
Transfer to Izmir and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 6: IZMIR - BODRUM
After breakfast at the hotel, panoramic drive to Bodrum. Check-in at the hotel for accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
Suggested optional activities:
- Visit to Bodrum Castle built by the Crusaders of the Order of St. John in 1404;
- Visit to the Bodrum Underwater Archaeology Museum.
DAY 7: BODRUM
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities. Bodrum is a paradise with sea, natural beauty, coves and a lot of history. It is a tourist destination famous for its white houses, narrow streets leading to the sea and modern and bustling nightlife.
DAY 8: BODRUM
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
DAY 9: BODRUM/ISTANBUL
Breakfast at the hotel. Private transfer to Bodrum Airport for a flight to Istanbul. Upon arrival, private transfer to the hotel and accommodation for 1 night with breakfast.
DAY 10: ISTANBUL
After breakfast at the hotel, private transfer to Istanbul airport.
