New Year's Eve at Chapada dos Veadeiros

Day 1 (28/12/2025): BRASÍLIA - ALTO PARAÍSO
Arrival at Brasília International Airport - President Juscelino Kubitschek, reception and transfer to Alto Paraíso (230km). Accommodation for 5 nights, with half board.

Located in Chapada dos Veadeiros, Alto Paraíso is a city surrounded by lush nature, crystalline waterfalls and ancient rock formations. Known for its mystical atmosphere, it attracts travelers seeking adventure, well-being, and spirituality.

After the welcome lunch, departure to visit the Moon Valley, the main attraction of the São Miguel River. Located on private property next to the National Park, the route includes a 600-meter walk to the riverbed, known for exotic rock formations shaped by the action of water over millennia.

Return to the inn in the late afternoon.


2nd day (29/12/2025): ALTO PARAÍSO - CACHOEIRA SANTA BÁRBARA - CACHOEIRA CAPIVARA - ALTO PARAÍSO
After breakfast, travel of approximately 90 km to the town of Cavalcante.

Visit to the mill, located 25 km from the center of Cavalcante, part of the Kalunga Historical Site — an old quilombo of fugitive slaves from Bahia, discovered in the 1970s.

Continue the tour to Santa Bárbara Waterfall, the main natural attraction of the Kalunga community. At about 30 meters high, it stands out for its emerald green waters and large natural pools.

Then, visit the Capivara Waterfall, formed by the river of the same name that flows down an impressive canyon at the beginning of Vão das Almas, a central region of the Kalunga community. Short hiking trail with steep sections to a natural emerald green pool, where the falls of the Capivara Waterfall and the Tiririca Stream can be found.

Typical lunch prepared by the community on this day. Return to the inn in Alto Paraíso in the late afternoon.


Day 3 (30/12/2025): ALTO PARAÍSO - CHAPADA DOS VEADEIROS NATIONAL PARK - ALTO PARAÍSO
After breakfast, visit the Chapada dos Veadeiros National Park.

Hike along the trail that leads to the Rio Preto Falls. The first waterfall to be visited is 120 meters high and is one of the region's postcards. Then, visit the 80-meter jump, with a large natural pool ideal for swimming.

Upon returning from the trail, stop for a swim in the natural hot tubs of Pedreiras. Lunch in the village of São Jorge in the late afternoon.


4th day (31/12/2025): ALTO PARAÍSO - CACHOEIRA DO SEGREDO - ALTO PARAÍSO
Breakfast at the hotel. Start of the journey of approximately 10 km from the town of São Jorge, followed by a stretch of dirt road to the beginning of the trail.

Northeasterly walk along well-defined trails, with river crossings and gradual ascent. The final route enters a canyon with dark walls in contrast to the vegetation, culminating in the Cachoeira do Segredo, 120 meters high and with an impressive landscape.

Time to bathe and snack on site, and then return to the village of São Jorge and lunch in the late afternoon.

In the evening, supper and festive get-together for the arrival of the new year.


5th day (01/01/2026): ALTO PARAÍSO - LEATHER FALLS - ALTO PARAÍSO
After breakfast, travel of approximately 57 km to the west.

Visit to the Couros Falls, one of the most impressive natural complexes in Chapada dos Veadeiros.

After about 01:30 on a dirt road, walk of approximately 1.5 km along the Rio dos Couros to the beginning of the falls, where the river forms successive waterfalls and natural pools in a canyon with about 300 meters of unevenness. The route follows one of the banks to an observation point for the upper and lower falls.

Lunch prepared especially by Dona Eleuza's family. Return to Alto Paraíso at the end of the day.


Day 6 (02/01/2026): ALTO PARAÍSO - CACHOEIRA ALMÉCEGAS I - BRASÍLIA
After breakfast, departure for the last tour, at Fazenda São Bento. Visit to Cachoeira Almécegas I, with a drop of 45 meters.

Farewell lunch in Alto Paraíso. Transfer to Brasilia International Airport - Presidente Juscelino Kubitschek.
