Discovering the Indonesian Islands
Ubud, Candidasa, Gili Trawangan, Lombok
An 8-day trip to discover the islands of Bali, Lombok and Gili Trawangan and discover the beaches of Indonesia.
Day 1: Sanur
Arrival at Bali airport and transfer to hotel in South Bali. Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 2: Sanur - UBUD
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. Tour the village of Batubulan, famous for its stone sculptures. Possibility to watch the mythological dance of Barong and Kris.
Next, visit Celuk, known for its silver confections, and a traditional Balinese house in Batuan. Stop in Mas to discover its wood carvings. Arrival in Ubud, the cultural heart of Bali that brings together art galleries from different parts of the world.
Visit to Puri Saren Agung Palace, home of former Ubud royalty.
Arrival at the hotel in Ubud for accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 3: UBUD
Breakfast at the hotel. Raft ride through Ayung River rapids and observation of rural Balinese culture along the river's shoreline. Then, walk through the forests of Bali, ideal for discovering the local fauna and flora.
Lunch at a local restaurant (without drinks) and return to the hotel.
DAY 4: UBUD - CANDIDASA
Breakfast, check out at the hotel and drive to Candidasa. Visit Kerta Gosa, known as the Hall of Justice, known as the “Hall of Justice”, with an exquisite collection of paintings and a sample of architecture in the Klungkung Regency.
Continue to Kusamba, a small coastal fishing and salt-producing village, to learn about its culture and appreciate its colorful canoes arranged along its coast. Then stop at Goa Lawah Cave, a sacred temple inhabited by thousands of bats.
Finally, take a tour of Tenganan, a Balinese village that maintains ancient traditions such as handicrafts, especially the weaving of kamben geringsing, a ceremonial garment used to ward off evil.
Arrival in Candidasa for accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 5: CANDIDASA - GILI TRAWANGAN
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Ground transfer to Padang Bai port for speedboat boarding to Gili Trawangan. Upon arrival, disembark and meet with local representative to transfer to the hotel.
Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 6: GILI TRAWANGAN
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day to enjoy Gili Trawangan Beach.
DAY 7: GILI TRAWANGAN - LOMBOK
Breakfast, check-out at the hotel and transfer by speedboat to Lombok. Upon arrival, disembark and meet with local representative to transfer to the hotel.
Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 8: LOMBOK
Breakfast at the hotel. Pusuk Pass tour and observation of panoramic views of the Gili Islands. Then ride along the north coast of Lombok, to the Sendang Gile waterfall.
After lunch at a local restaurant (without drinks), continue the tour of the Sembalun Valley, to visit the villages of Sembalun Lawang and Bumbung, close to Mount Rinjani, one of the largest volcanoes in Indonesia. Possibility to get to know the Sasak ethnic group and their unique traditions. Finally, arrival at the Kingly Garden of NArmada, known for its mystical waters.
DAY 9: LOMBOK - SOUTH BALI
Breakfast, check-out at the hotel and transfer by speedboat to Bali. After disembarkation, transfer to Bali airport.
