Andean Charm

DAY 1: LIMA
Arrival in Lima, reception and transfer from the airport to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights with breakfast.

The Peruvian capital is a modern metropolis steeped in history and has great architectural monuments.


DAY 2: LIMA
After breakfast at the hotel, private tour of the historic center of Lima, passing through the city's main attractions, starting with the Plaza de Armas and examples from the colonial era. Visit the Lima Cathedral and Casa Aliaga, considered a jewel of colonial and republican architecture. Its environments show us the styles that were in fashion in the XVll and XlX centuries in Lima.

Then, visit the Larco Museum, in the Pueblo Libre neighborhood, a 15th century viceregal mansion that houses more than 3,000 years of pre-Columbian Peruvian history that currently has the best collection of cult gold and silver jewelry. It includes lunch (without drinks) at the museum's own Café Restaurant.

In the evening, dine at the famous IK contemporary Peruvian cuisine restaurant, featuring a 5-course tasting menu.


DAY 3: LIMA/CUSCO - SACRED VALLEY
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Transfer to Lima airport and board a flight (not included) to Cusco.

Upon arrival in Cusco, private transfer to Sacred Valley. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.

On the way to the Sacred Valley, stop at the Yucay - Museum of Living Culture, a center for interpreting Andean traditions. Opportunity to participate in a traditional Inca ceremony with a shaman, who will give a blessing throughout the trip.


DAY 4: SACRED VALLEY
After breakfast, visit the Moray Archaeological Site, where archaeological remains composed of mysterious circular platforms and the natural salt pans of Maras can be found. Explored since the time of the Incas, this salt mine surprises with its white steps that descend abruptly down the green slopes.

Lunch stop at Wayra - Relais & Chateaux, located inside the Wayra ranch at the Sol y Luna hotel.


DAY 5: SACRED VALLEY - AGUAS CALIENTES - MACHU PICCHU - AGUAS CALIENTES
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Travel by train to Aguas Calientes, on a route with beautiful landscapes. Then, transfer by bus to the entrance gate of the Machu Picchu citadel, a masterpiece of engineering and architecture that is believed to have served as a sanctuary and resting place for the Inca Pachacumtec. Discovered by Hiram Bingham in 1911 and considered one of the Seven Wonders of the World. The architectural beauty, natural landscape and enigmatic energy of the citadel enchant visitors.

Return by bus to Aguas Calientes and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast and dinner.

Note: lunch time (included) during the tour may vary depending on the entrance to the citadel.


DAY 6: AGUAS CALIENTES - CUSCO
Breakfast and free time for independent activities. At a time to be confirmed, transfer to Cusco and accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.

In the evening, have dinner at the hotel.

Optional activity suggestion (not included):

• Make a new visit to the Machu Picchu Historic Sanctuary (requires advance reservation).

DAY 7: CUSCO
Breakfast at the hotel. Cusco tour, including a horseback riding experience, to explore the fields, houses of the local population and appreciate the city's landscape.

Free time for lunch (not included).

In the afternoon, walk in Cusco, to the main tourist attractions of Cusco, a city that combines Inca and colonial architecture. Visit to the Santo Domingo Convent, built in the Inca temple of Coricancha, one of the essential sites dedicated to the cult of the sun.

Next, visit the Plaza de Armas and the San Pedro market, the city's main supply hub. In this place, many traditions, colors, flavors and aromas are concentrated, and it is possible to find all the region's typical fresh products, as well as meats, cheeses, breads, coffee, chocolate, dried fruits, flowers and handicrafts.

In the evening, dinner at a traditional Cusco restaurant.


DAY 8: CUSCO
Breakfast at the hotel. Free day for independent activities.


DAY 9: CUSCO
After breakfast, private transfer to Cusco airport.
