Carnival in Jalapão and Serras Gerais

Day 1 (13/02/2026): PALMAS
Arrival at Brigadeiro Lysias Rodrigues Airport - Palmas, reception and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.

Palmas, the young capital of Tocantins, was founded in 1989 and enchants with its planned architecture, wide streets and stunning natural landscapes. With a warm climate and almost always blue skies, the city combines modernity, tranquility and access to ecotourism treasures, such as Jalapão. It grows with charm, organization and quality of life.


Day 2 (14/02/2026): PALMAS - JALAPÃO (SAFARI CAMP KORUBO)
Breakfast at the hotel and check-out. In the morning, exit towards Jalapão (180 km on paved road to Ponte Alta). On the way, stop in the district of Taquaruçu, a tourist attraction in the Palmas region. Lunch in Ponte Alta, last stop with a structure for buying items such as sunscreen and repellent.

After lunch, visit the Suçuapara Canyon, with a short and steep 400-meter trail (round trip) over gravel and dirt terrain, including sections with water and rocks. Then, the route continues with a passage through the Serra da Muriçoca, springs of the Red River and areas close to the Serra Geral do Tocantins Ecological Station. At the top of the mountain, panoramic view of Jalapão, with emphasis on the Jalapinha, Espírito Santo and Geral da Bahia mountains.

Trip to Glamping Korubo (120 km by dirt road), with arrival scheduled for the end of the day. Presentation of the structure by the guide and support team. Welcome drink followed by dinner.

Accommodation for 4 nights, with full board.


Day 3 (15/02/2026): JALAPÃO (SAFARI CAMP KORUBO) Breakfast at the lodge.
Day with a free start.

• Optional: early departure to Mirante do Glamping, with a view of the sunrise behind the Serra do Espírito Santo. On site, it is possible to use the telescope to observe the region's mountains and the cliffs that make up the Jalapão Dunes.

After breakfast on the riverbank, instructions on the canoeing route will be handed over by the team. Departure from the Glamping beach to descend the Rio Novo (approximately 1 hour, easy level). The route allows you to contemplate the landscape and make stops for diving and swimming. Return and lunch.


In the afternoon, free time to rest in the hammock or on the beach. Then, 18 km transfer to the Jalapão Dunes, stopping at the Rio Novo Community Bridge for photos. The Dunes offer a wide view of the region, with sand formations, plateaus and lagoons. Closing of the day with sunset on site.


Day 4 (16/02/2026): JALAPÃO (SAFARI CAMP KORUBO)
After breakfast, departure to visit Fervedouro and Cachoeira da Formiga. Boilers are springs of white sand and crystal clear water, where pressure prevents sinking, generating natural fluctuation. The route follows the Rio Preto Valley, between the Serras do Meio and Espírito Santo mountains, with the Jalapão State Park on the left and the Serra Geral Ecological Station on the right.

Arrival at Fervedouro do Soninho (75 km on a dirt road), with the possibility of bathing in the Sono river. If time is available, an additional visit to Fervedouro do Ceiça Glorinha. Lunch at the Korubo outpost, next to Fervedouro do Soninho.

After lunch, drive to Cachoeira da Formiga (15 km on a dirt road), where there is a natural pool with clear waters. Then continue the trip to Mateiros (25 km on a dirt road), with cell phone signal and options for buying local handicrafts and ice cream.

Return to the lodge.

Day 5 (17/02/2026): JALAPÃO (SAFARI CAMP KORUBO)
Breakfast at the Camp and departure in the morning to the Mirante da Serra do Espírito Santo Trail (24 km on a dirt road). This place offers a panoramic view of Jalapão and the formations of the famous Dunes. The trail is 8 km long, starting with a steep climb of 800 m and then continues on flat and firm terrain (medium level, recommended for people in good health and who practice regular physical activities).

Return to Safari Camp for lunch. In the afternoon, free time to enjoy the campsite or go for a light hike nearby. Dinner and overnight at Safari Camp Korubo.

• Note: The climb to Mirante da Serra is of medium level and requires physical effort and is not recommended for people with heart problems, the elderly or sedentary. These clients can stay at the camp, enjoying the Rio Novo and its trails.
  
  

6th day (18/02/2026): JALAPÃO (SAFARI CAMP KORUBO) - ALMAS (SAFARI CAMP SERRAS GERAIS)
After breakfast, departure very early to the Serras Gerais (180 km of asphalt to Ponte Alta), passing through the district of Taquaruçu.

Lunch in Ponte Alta. And then, visit the Japanese Lagoon, a natural pool with transparent waters with shades of blue and emerald green, sandstone rock formations and a cave.

Arrival at Safari Camp Korubo in Almas, in the Serra Negra. Welcome drink, camp presentation and dinner. Accommodation for 4 nights, with full board.


7th day (19/02/2026): ALMAS (SAFARI CAMP SERRAS GERAIS)

Breakfast and departure to visit Vale dos Pássaros, owned by Mr. Davi, with a hike to Cachoeira do Urubu Rei and Cachoeira da Cortina. Return for lunch at the Camp.

In the afternoon, walk on the trails that lead to the camp's exclusive waterfalls (Boqueirão, Vereda, Lajedo, Gruta das Matizes and Cascata das Ramas). Dinner and overnight stay.


Day 8 (20/02/2026): ALMAS (SAFARI CAMP SERRAS GERAIS)
After breakfast, visit the Enchanted Canyon, a 70-meter cleft with four waterfalls, and the City of Stones, with rock formations sculpted by the wind. The trail is about 6 km round trip and lasts between 3 and 4 hours. Lunch at the camp.

In the afternoon, visit the Arcos do Sol, rock formations with large holes to enjoy the sunset. Dinner and overnight at Safari Camp Serras Gerais.


9th day (21/02/2026): ALMAS (SAFARI CAMP SERRAS GERAIS)
Breakfast at the Camp and departure to Arcos do Sol, gigantic rock formations with large holes, where you can enjoy the beauty of the sunrise in the savanna.

Lunch at Safari Camp. Free afternoon for waterfall baths, sunsets and happy hour at the camp. Dinner and overnight at Safari Camp Serras Gerais.


10th day (22/02/2026): ALMAS (SAFARI CAMP SERRAS GERAIS) - PALMAS
Breakfast at Camp. Free time. At a time to be agreed, transfer to Brigadeiro Lysias Rodrigues Airport - Palmas.
