DAY 1: AUCKLAND
Arrival in Auckland, reception by the guide and transfer to the hotel. Accommodation for 2 nights, with breakfast.
DAY 2: AUCKLAND
Breakfast at the hotel. The day begins with a trip to the West Coast, to the Muriwai Regional Park, famous for its black-sand coastline, surfing and patola geese, a species of seabird.
Visit the Auckland museum, where collections of Maori and Polynesian art and relics are located, the Parnell neighborhood, one of Auckland's oldest neighborhoods, and Mission Bay. The tour continues through the city center, passing the Auckland Viaduct.
Finally, go to the Sky Tower (328 meters high), where you can enjoy the view of Auckland's two bays: Waitemata and Manukau.
Return to the hotel.
DAY 3: AUCKLAND - WAITOMO CAVES - ROTORUA
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, travel south from Auckland to Rotorua. Stop at Waitomo Caves to visit one of the most famous caves in the world, known for the spectacular fireflies that illuminate the interior like a starry sky.
Then, baracoa-style lunch (barbecue) at a local restaurant.
Continuation of the trip to Rotorua. Arrival and transfer to the hotel for accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
In the afternoon, visit the Maori Te Puia Institute of Arts and Culture, the Thermal Reserve and the Maori Cultural Center. The thermal reserve is home to the famous bubbling mud pools and geysers. Finally, Maori performance with typical songs and dances and dinner prepared in local style.
DAY 4: ROTORUA/CHRISTCHURCH
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Visit to the Waimangu Thermal Reserve, a large valley with intense geothermal activity, where you can see the effect of the eruption of Mount Tarawera in 1886.
At the end of the tour, transfer to Rotorua Airport and board a flight to Christchurch. Arrival and brief city tour of the city.
Accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 5: CHRISTCHURCH - LAKE TEKAPO
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Departure from Christchurch to Lake Tekapo with the opportunity to visit the emblematic Church of the Good Shepard.
Arrival at Lake Tekapo and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
In the afternoon, reception by the locals for dinner with a typical dessert, the famous Pavlova.
DAY 6: Lake Tekapo - Te Anau
Breakfast, check out at the hotel and drive to Te Anau. Along the way, it is possible to see Mount Cook on the horizon.
Visit to the “Kawarau Bridge Bungy” (jump not included) and the Central Otago region's winery. It included tasting of locally produced wines and lunch.
Arrival in Te Anau and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
DAY 7: TE ANAU - MILFORD SOUND - QUEENSTOWN
After breakfast and check-out at the hotel, full-day tour to the Milford Strait passing through Fiordland National Park. Embark on a mini-cruise through the region, passing cliffs covered by native forests, with powerful waterfalls that fall into the fjord. Lunch included on the mini cruise.
At the end of the tour, take a bus or small plane (optional not included) to Queenstown. Accommodation for 3 nights, with breakfast.
Note: The Milford Strait tour is subject to weather conditions, if canceled, a Doubtful Strait tour will be offered (requires payment locally).
DAY 8: QUEENSTOWN
After breakfast at the hotel, a half-day tour of the city, visiting the traditional mining village of Arrowtown.
Then ride the “Skyline” cable car that passes over Bob's Peak to enjoy panoramic views of the region.
Free afternoon for independent activities.
DAY 9: QUEENSTOWN
Breakfast at the hotel and free day for independent activities.
DAY 10: QUEENSTOWN
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Transfer to the airport.
