Explore the charms of southern Italy on this 6-day itinerary.
Day 1: ROME - POMPEII - SORRENTO
Arrival in Rome and presentation on your own at the meeting point (to be informed after confirmation). Departure to Pompeii to visit the excavations of this famous city, completely buried by the eruption of Vesuvius in 79 AD.
Continue to Sorrento and a panoramic tour of the city with its typical streets.
Accommodation for 2 nights, with half board (without drinks).
Day 2: SORRENTO - CAPRI - SORRENTO
After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the port to board a ferry to the island of Capri, a former resting place for Roman emperors. The island amazes with its landscape of cliffs and caves.
Free afternoon for independent activities on the island.
Return to Sorrento by fast boat. Dinner (without drinks) at the hotel.
Day 3: SORRENTO - AMALFI COAST - SALERNO
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Travel along the panoramic Amalfi Coast highway to arrive in Amalfi for a brief tour of the city.
Continuation of the trip to Salerno, the second most important city in Campania. Panoramic tour of the city, passing through places such as Arechi Castle, the Church of S. Pietro a Corte, the Giuseppe Verdi Theater and the Cathedral of S. Matteo.
Accommodation for 2 nights, with half board (without drinks).
Day 4: SALERNO - PERTOSA-AULETTA CAVE - PAESTUM - SALERNO
After breakfast at the hotel, departure to visit the Pertosa-Auletta Caves, considered to be the most important in southern Italy. Boat ride and then walk through the cave, where you can admire the rock formations of stalactites and stalagmites.
Continue to Paestum to visit its archaeological site, known for its Doric temples, such as those of Hera, Athena and Neptune.
At the end of the tour, return to the hotel in Salerno. In the evening, dinner (without drinks) at the hotel.
Day 5: SALERNO - NAPLES
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Travel for about 1 hour to Naples and accommodation for 1 night, with breakfast.
Full day panoramic tour of the city. Visit Vomero, passing by the seaside promenade and its historic center, where you can see the San Carlo Theater, the Royal Palace, the New Castle and the Plebiscito Square.
Then, walk through the historic center of Naples with the opportunity to visit the San Severino Chapel, famous for its sculpture: the Veiled Christ.
In the evening, farewell dinner at a pizzeria in the city center.
Day 6: NAPLES
Breakfast and check-out at the hotel. Transfer to Naples airport.
THIS ITINERARY INCLUDES:
- Accommodation for 2 nights in Sorrento, with half board;
- Accommodation for 2 nights in Salerno, with half board;
- Accommodation for 1 night in Naples, with breakfast;
- Regular transfer between hotel and airport, on the last day;
- Travel between cities as mentioned in the itinerary;
- Escort guide in Spanish or Portuguese (subject to availability and confirmation) from the 1st to the 5th day;
- Local guide in Spanish for visits to Pompeii, Naples, Paestum and the Pertosa-Auletta Caves;
